Internet meet Moo (isn’t that a wonderful name)! Moo is a sweet young cattle dog mix. Her and her people signed up for 8 private lesson package to set her up for success. We’re going to start with basic obedience and work up to using the e-collar, to solidify her new learned commands.

Little 3 month old George did his 10 puppy B&T with me to be crate trained, house broken, and to be introduced to being walked on the leash and leash pressure to be guided into commands like ‘sit’, ‘down’, and ‘place’.

This is Lola, she’s such a good girl and she’s with me to learn impulse control, boundaries, and have a solid obedience since her family is expecting a baby.

Today we went to Cal Anderson to post flyers and train around community. She did great with all the soccer ball players, skaters, and other dogs also enjoying the park☺️🩵🩷🤍

This is Malory, a 3 year-old Belgium and German Shepherd mix. Him and his sister, Cleo, will be working with me, but since Malory is the one initiating trouble and the hardest for his parents; he boarding with me. While during private lessons we work on Cleo.

We’re working on obedience, leash manners, impulse control, boundaries, neutrality around dogs, and creating more structure in his life. Welcome Malory, I look forward to our 21 days together☺️

B&T Cerberus and Winston are here to learn and solidify their commands, gain confidence, and have more structure in their life. These two beautiful boi’s and just 10-11 months old and are the sweetest. I’m excited to work with them and their people!

B&T George is a sweet and eager student, just loving our lessons. He’s with me to learn basic obedience, impulse control, boundaries, and baby preparation. His mom will give birth later this month. He’s doing so good and I’m proud of him☺️

Board and train sisters Cocoa and Violet, have come a long way. Living with no clarity, no boundaries, and no consistency made them anxious, insecure, and chaotic. But after living in a structured home and consistency from waking up to going to bed, they began to see their handler is the leader. Violet didn’t need to be dominant by default, a huge stress lifted from her shoulders, once she saw I advocated for her, protected her, and set her up for success. With that, she didn’t feel the need to react or be aggressive with unknown dogs.

Ms. Cocoa gobbled up training, she had the most drive I’ve ever seen in a Frenchie. She loved training and gave me so much engagement, it was a blast to teach her foundation of basic obedience. Very proud of these girls progress.

B&T Pico has come a long way. We worked on his leash reactivity, taught commands to help with communication, built structure to have consistency in his life and help him feel safe, and lots of exposure therapy to help build confidence. I absolutely loved working with Pico!

New laws for coming into the states with dogs go in effect in August 1st.

tltr; the first law is a complete ban of importing dogs under 6 months old.

This ban will affect ethic breeders and people who are wanting rare breeds or breeders from Europe.

“Jey at Emerald Dog Training was a gift from the universe and the best investment we have made for our family to date. No joke. We loved our Australian Labradoodle puppy from the start but really struggled with managing his behavior. He is naturally bossy, needy and has strong FOMO (fear of missing out) which can be challending for a family that includes a young child. We took several training courses with other companies and while we would see a bit of improvement here and there, it was not cutting it. At 14 months old, we knew we needed to call on a solid trainer and training program to ensure our family AND family dog were happy and thriving under the same roof.

Our Tucker did the 21 day program (we lovingly called it “Puppy Bootcamp”). We got to visit him 1/week and were able to be trained as well to ensure a smooth and succesful transition back home. Tucker returned home a HUGE SUCCESS STORY! He still has his sweet, curious and loving mannerisms but with structure. He is very quick to drop anything in his mouth with an “OUT” and will even offer a sit. This was a focus area for us as he had the ability to resource guard odd, non-food items. Jey helped us discover that tug is his “love language” (he will do anything if tug is the reward or next activity). This has been a great help for a non-food motivated dog. And he also has learned that our youngest child is not his litter mate. Tucker now knows how to “play” safely with our son - a HUGE WIN. Honestly, I can go on and on with how happy we are. Sienna is BACK! She came to me to do the puppy board and train, and is back for advance training with the e-collar. I absolutely love working with Sienna in building her engagement and having her be a participant in her teaining😍
