🐾 Acupuncture isn’t just for people. It is a gentle and effective way to support your pet’s health and comfort. By stimulating specific points in the body, acupuncture can help relieve pain, improve mobility, reduce inflammation, and support conditions like digestive or respiratory issues. It is especially helpful for pets with arthritis, chronic pain, or those recovering from injury.💙

🐱 Your cat is communicating with you all day long- are you speaking their language?

Understanding feline body language can help strengthen your bond, reduce stress, and even alert you to potential health concerns before they become serious.

Here are a few common signals to watch for:

🐾 Tail held high — Feeling confident, friendly, and comfortable

🐾 Tail tucked close to the body — Fearful, anxious, or unsure

🐾 Slow blinks — A sign of trust, relaxation, and affection

🐾 Ears facing forward — Alert, curious, and engaged

🐾 Ears flattened or turned sideways — Stressed, fearful, or irritated

🐾 Dilated pupils — Excitement, fear, stress, or heightened arousal

🐾 Arched back, puffed fur, or hissing — Feeling threatened and asking for more space

Cats are experts at hiding discomfort, so changes in body language can sometimes be one of the first clues that something isn't right. If your cat suddenly becomes withdrawn, unusually aggressive, more vocal, or displays body language that seems out of character, it may be time for a veterinary exam.

The better we understand our feline friends, the better we can support their physical and emotional well-being. ❤️

🌊☀️ Beach days are here! While most dogs enjoy the ocean safely, it’s good to know that drinking too much salt water can sometimes cause mild tummy upset, like vomiting or diarrhea.

🐾 Keep fresh water available
🐾 Take breaks from ocean play
🐾 Watch for dogs “drinking the waves”

Most mild cases resolve quickly with rest and hydration, but if your pup seems unwell after a beach day, give us a call! https://atlanticvetseattle.com/contact/

Here’s to safe summer adventures and sandy paws! 🐶
