Questions I never thought I would need to answer, part 1 (because I can only assume this won’t be the first time):

Q: Without a fence, how do you keep the daycare dogs from going in the road/running away?

A: 😳 they absolutely have a fence. I can only assume they’re talking about our personal dogs, who have an invisible fence so that they can enjoy our property safely while they freely move in and out of our house? Because… no, we do not run a doggy daycare without fences. I mean, that would be some kind of revolutionary idea, and I’m not sure how it would work, but that’s not an innovation I’m prepared to experiment with at this point in time. So yes. The dogs are absolutely fenced in.

Q: How do you keep the dogs hydrated?

A: 🤨 with water? Drinking water? That’s available to them anytime they want it? And they also have splash pools, which they often consider to be very large drinking water bowls, but we don’t need to dwell on that. But seriously?! How do YOU hydrate?

Not to shame anyone into not asking questions, just thought these two justified a FB post! 🤣 I am happy to answer questions anytime, and will likely explain way more about what we do, or what the dogs do best with, or how we figured out a super cool way of doing such and such, because a lot of thought went into pretty much every aspect of my business here, and we are constantly figuring out better and better ways of doing things! Being somewhere that dogs get to come and be DOGS is something I strongly believe in, and I love what I do. It’s been a FASCINATING process to learn from them, come to know their personality dynamics and how their whole pack thing works. So ask questions, if you dare, because I may or may not talk your ear off. Have a great weekend!

We are all staying cool and having a blast! The big fluffy boys were out enjoying both yards all morning, then retreated to the AC. For everyone else, the cool barn is their preference, and of course Reny is loving the pool!

Flexibility, and no cancelation fees, at Ana’s Doggy Daycare!

Life happens to us all, so if you need to cancel a reservation, or make a change, just let me know when you know.
Under normal circumstances, it isn’t a problem - I’m set up in a way that allows for flexibility, by design. I am in the service industry, and I genuinely enjoy being of service, so if I can make your life easier, I am happy to.
That being said, communication is key! As long as you’re getting me the info I need to be able to adjust in a timely manner, we shouldn’t run into any issues.
If you need to pick-up or drop-off outside normal hours, we can usually figure that out, and that comes with a $10 off-hours fee.
If you need to cancel, just let me know as early as possible, but there is no cancelation fee.
If you need to make an adjustment to your days, for any reason, let me know when you know, so I can do my best to make it work.
And if someone proves themselves unreliable or consistently fails to communicate, making it difficult for me to maintain these policies, I reserve the right to refuse them service.

This is one of my favorite policies, honestly, because it prioritizes caring for people as well as the dogs, and fosters mutual respect. Thank you to all my amazing dog owners who allow me to manage my business in such a fun and caring way! 🙏
