Some evenings, childhood looks like this. 🤎

Bare legs, muddy water, cows cooling off in the gully, and two little girls stretched out watching every second like it’s the best show in the world.

They may not realize it now, but these are the days I hope they remember—the sunsets, the cattle, the dirt, the freedom, and growing up right in the middle of everything we’re building.

A little reminder from the farm… 🤎

As we get closer to launching our beef website, we’ve had several people ask if we’re stepping away from raising show calves.

The answer is absolutely not.

Raising quality show cattle will always be part of who we are. Watching kids grow in confidence, responsibility, and faith through the show ring is something we deeply believe in.

At the same time, God has opened the door for us to provide locally raised beef to families in our community. We don’t see it as choosing one or the other—we see it as faithfully stewarding the opportunities He’s placed in front of us.

Our prayer is that Double E + S Farms continues to glorify Him in everything we do. Whether it’s raising a future champion or feeding a family’s table, we hope this farm reflects His goodness every step of the way.

Thank you for believing in our first-generation farm and walking this journey with us. We truly can’t wait to see what God has planned next. 🤎🐄

We’re officially in the final stages… 🤎

To say we’re excited would be an understatement. Countless hours of planning, learning, building, and preparing have gone into making this dream a reality, and we’re finally almost there.

Our website is nearly finished, the details are coming together, and we’re getting everything ready to open reservations for our farm-raised beef.

Meet Your Farmers 🤎

We’re Hunter and Jenna—the husband-and-wife team behind Double E + S Farms.

We’re a first-generation farm family in South Louisiana raising Black Angus and Mini Hereford cattle while building something meaningful for our children. Our cattle operation focuses on quality genetics, gentle temperaments, and show calves we’re proud to raise.

Separately, we’re also working toward offering local, farm-raised beef for families in our community.

The name Double E + S comes from our three greatest reasons for doing all of this—Everlynn, Ellason, and Stetson. What started as a dream is slowly becoming a life we’re incredibly proud to build together.

🌸 Meet Sweet Pea 🌸

We’re excited to officially welcome Topline Sweet Pea to the Bayou Bristle family.

Sweet Pea is a registered Black Angus heifer with a strong pedigree, and we’re looking forward to watching her mature and become part of the foundation of our herd. Every new addition brings us one step closer to the program we’re working so hard to build.

A huge thank you to Top Line Angus Farms for entrusting us with this beautiful heifer. We appreciate the opportunity to continue her story here at Bayou Bristle and Double E + S Farms and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
