Humane Society of Searcy Our shelter is located at 112 Johnston Rd. in Searcy, AR. We are open 7 days a week from 1 to 5 PM.

What The Humane Society & Animal Shelter Does

• Provides a temporary home for lost, abandoned and owner turn in dogs and cats.
• Provides food, shelter and medical care for our animals.
• Cleans and maintains the Searcy Animal Shelter.
• Adopts out animals as per board policy.
• Staffs the Searcy Animal Shelter on a paid and volunteer basis.
• Works in conjunction with the Searcy Animal Control

• Promotes spay and neuter programs.
• Holds fundraising events to earn operating revenues.
• Offers private and corporate memberships to the public at a modest cost.
• Makes educational material available to schools, organizations and the general public.

Boone came in with a front right leg that was previously broken. It had never been addressed so it didn't heal correctly. He does favor and limp on it but still gets around fine and has been looked at by the vet. He was underweight but is beginning to fill out.

Boone is very gentle, easy-going, sweet, and friendly. He has been a great volunteer starter dog and is an easy walker. He is selective with other dogs and prefers to wander the yard instead of playing.

Boone is 1 year old and weighs 54 pounds. He is heartworm negative, neutered, and will be microchipped at the time of adoption. If you have additional questions, please call the shelter at 501-268-3535. Comments are not monitored.

Getting a picture of Apple and Nancy sitting still? Almost impossible, but they sure are fun!

Apple (white, male) and Nancy are both longer term dogs who are very sweet and playful. Apple is 7 1/2+ months old and weighs 36 pounds. Nancy is 1 1/2 and weighs 41 pounds. Both have been spayed/neutered and are heartworm negative.

Teddy was a bottle baby and is small for his age, but don't let it fool you! He has plenty of personality to make up for his smaller size and is ready to give out love taps at a moments notice. He is spunky, playful, and can be a little mouthy and rough when he gets going. He is very outgoing and funny.
