A little note about rescheduling appointments
We are incredibly grateful to be consistently booked 4–6 weeks in advance, but lately we’ve had a huge increase in same-week cancellations and reschedules.
We often hear, “But I gave you the required 48 hours.”
And yes, 48 hours is the minimum notice required to avoid a late cancellation fee. It doesn’t mean changing an appointment you reserved 4–6 weeks ago doesn’t significantly affect our schedule. When you pre-book, we reserve a specific amount of time based on your dog’s size, coat, service, and grooming schedule. If that appointment is moved a few days beforehand, we can’t necessarily fill it with just any dog.
We also frequently hear that appointments need to be moved because of travel. We completely understand vacations and trips but most travel is planned more than a few days in advance. If you know you’ll be away, please let us know as soon as you make those plans rather than waiting until the week of your appointment.
Life absolutely happens. Kids get sick, emergencies come up, and plans unexpectedly change. This isn’t about those situations.
It’s about repeatedly moving long-held appointments at the last minute because plans changed or because it technically falls outside the cancellation-fee window.
Our 48-hour policy is the minimum notice required to avoid a fee, not a suggested window for changing appointments.
If you pre-book with us, please treat it as an appointment you intend to keep. We’ve been holding that time specifically for you. 💛
Thank you for respecting our time and helping us keep our schedule running smoothly!
