Meet Lady 🩷 (304)

✨ Born 12/28/2020
✨ Spayed
✨ Fully vaccinated
✨ Dental completed
✨ Heartworm negative
✨ Microchipped
✨ No known health issues

Meet Lady, one of the 14 mill mamas we took in back in March. After spending most of her life having puppies, she is finally ready to enjoy retirement 💕

Lady is thriving in her foster home! Unlike many mill dogs, she absolutely prefers people over other dogs and is OBSESSED with her foster dad 😍. She’d honestly be happiest if we just adopted out her foster mom so she and foster dad could live peacefully together forever 🤣

Lady would do best as an only dog (not a dealbreaker) where she does not feel the need to guard her bed, toys, or food. She knows how to use a doggie door and is settling beautifully into life as a loved house dog 🩷

✨ Please have a completed adoption application and fee on file. If you already have an active application, email [email protected].

✨ Please ensure everyone in your household is on board and you have a plan for any upcoming travel. We are unable to hold dogs once they are ready to go home.

Meet Snoopy 💙🐶

• Beaglier 🐾 (1/2 Beagle, 1/2 Cavalier)
• Male 💙
• DOB: 2/9/26 🎂
• 12 weeks old 🍼
• Neutered ✂️
• Vaccinated up to his current age 💉
• Microchipped 📍
• No known health issues 🩺

Meet Snoopy! He came to us as a breeder release and is definitely showing off his Beagle side. He is extremely independent, a little stubborn, incredibly sweet, and loves to cuddle 🥰

Snoopy loves other dogs 🐶 and would do great with children. He is currently working on potty training in his foster home and would make a wonderful addition to the right family. 🏡💙

As with all puppies, continued potty training, structure, patience, and socialization will be very important 🐾

⚠️ Please remember that parvo is a very serious concern for Snoopy and all young puppies. Condos or apartment living without a private backyard are not considered ideal homes for him at this age.

✨ Please have a completed adoption application and fee on file. If you already have an active application, email [email protected].

SCAM ALERT 🚨🚨🚨🚨

RESCUED CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIELS FOR LOVERS AND ADOPTION FACEBOOK PAGE IS A SCAM & many others like it.

There are only a handful of legitimate Cavalier rescues in the United States. If you see posts in Facebook groups offering a “perfect” Cavalier puppy or young Cavalier where an adoption supposedly fell through, it is very likely a scam.

We have had multiple people reach out after being directed to a Facebook group and website falsely claiming to be us, and their website directs people to our Instagram page. We are not affiliated with any other organization.

If you are not communicating directly with Nicole or Erin, it is not us. Please be careful and do not get scammed.

If you work with us, you will always meet your dog in person before being asked to send money or sign an adoption contract. Nicole or Erin will gladly FaceTime with you. Our photos are available on our Instagram and on the About page of our website.

You can verify a legitimate rescue organization through Internal Revenue Service records, your state’s corporate commission (for Arizona, the Arizona Corporation Commission), and GuideStar.

If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

• 🎂 9/17/22 – 3.5 years old
• 🖤 Tri Color
• ✂️ Neutered
• 💉 Fully vaccinated
• 🩺 Heartworm negative
• ⚖️ Overweight
• 🚽 Fully potty trained

Bentley is one of two owner surrenders we welcomed this week. He came from a very loving home, and due to circumstances outside of their control, it was in his and his brother’s best interest to come into rescue.

Per his previous owner, Bentley and Charlie would do best placed separately, as they have developed resource guarding around food. His brother is also significantly overweight.

Bentley is a larger Cavalier with longer legs, currently weighing 37 pounds with a goal weight of 25 to 30 pounds. He was seen by our veterinary team and is otherwise healthy.

He is fully potty trained, leash trained, and does not require a kennel. He enjoys playing with other dogs and would do great in a home with at least one other dog. Bentley is truly a perfect gentleman.

If you are interested in adopting Bentley, please email [email protected]. Please make sure you have an adoption application and fee on file, everyone in your home is on board with welcoming a new family member, and proper care is arranged for any upcoming travel. 💌

🚨 FACEBOOK SCAM ALERT 🚨
PSA for anyone looking to adopt a Cavalier

There are only a handful of legitimate Cavalier rescues in the United States that we know of. We strongly advise against trying to adopt a Cavalier through rehoming groups or random pages.

Over the past several years, and even more frequently this year, we’ve been notified of scammers using photos from legitimate rescues, including ours, to collect donations and adoption fees for dogs that do not exist.

Many of these posts and even entire Facebook groups are now using AI-generated photos and content to appear legitimate.

You can verify rescues through the State Corporation Commission, GuideStar, and IRS.gov. They will be listed as a tax exempt organization.

Fake rescue and adoption scams are a major problem on Facebook. Reporting tools are limited, and these pages are often removed only for the same person to create another one.

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Please do your research, verify the organization, and be extremely cautious before sending money.

Meet Sasha (301) 🥰🩷

• 🎂 4/13/21
• 🤍 Blenheim
• ✂️ Spayed
• 💉 Fully vaccinated
• 📍 Microchipped
• 🦷 Full mouth extraction
• 🩺 Heartworm negative
• ❤️ No health issues

Sasha is one of our retired mill moms we rescued last month. She has been through so much and continues to shine with her sweet, gentle spirit. She is healing beautifully and gaining confidence every day. Yes, Sasha has no teeth, but dogs adapt amazingly well. She should be able to eat dry food again in time, or you can happily spoil her with softer meals. 💗🍽️

She loves people, enjoys car rides 🚗, couch snuggles 🛋️, and playful zoomies ✨. She is a quiet girl who sleeps well through the night and rarely barks.

Sasha would do best in a home where someone is around often, with at least one other friendly, confident dog to help show her how to be a dog and continue building confidence. 🐶🐶

She will need patience with potty training, leash work, and new surroundings, but this special girl is so worth it. 🌸

If you are interested in adopting Sasha, please email [email protected]. Please make sure you have an adoption application and fee on file, everyone in your home is on board with welcoming a new family member, and proper care is arranged for any upcoming travel. 💌

Meet Patty Mae (300) 🍀🩷🐶

• 5/20/21 🎂
• Blenheim 🤍🍂
• Spayed
• Microchipped
• Dental completed (14 extractions)
• Grade 3 heart murmur
• Heartworm negative

Patty Mae is a sweet little Velcro girl 🥰 who wants nothing more than to be close to her person. She loves to cuddle 🤍 and would thrive in a home where someone is around often and happy to let her share the couch or bed 🛋️

She is still learning that the world is a safe place 🌷 so she will need a patient and understanding adopter who can help build her confidence. New things can be scary, and she may “pancake” when unsure, so patience and kindness will go a long way 💕

Patty Mae enjoys other dogs 🐶 and loves to snuggle with calm canine friends, so a gentle, passive dog companion could be a wonderful fit. She is smart ✨ almost fully potty trained, knows sit, comes when called, loves car rides 🚗 and enjoys watching birds outside the window 🐦

She would do best in a home without young children and with someone willing to continue helping her grow. Patty Mae is a doll with so much love to give 💗🥰

If you are interested in adopting Patty Mae, please email [email protected]. Please make sure everyone in the home is ready to welcome a new furry family member, including spouses, partners, and children. If you have upcoming travel plans, please ensure appropriate care is already arranged.

Meet Gracie 💕 She came to us with the large group of retired mill moms last month. If there were a checklist for mill moms, Gracie would check every box. She is shy, nervous around people, and still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place.

🐶 Gracie would do well with one confident dog in the home, but ideally two friendly, confident pups who can help show her how to be a dog.

🦮 Gracie cannot walk on a leash yet and is just beginning to learn home life. She is doing well with potty training, but this is her first time ever living in a home, so everything feels new and scary to her. Dishwashers, doorbells, the garbage disposal, and even walking through doorways can be overwhelming right now.

🏡 She needs an extremely patient, understanding home that will let her move at her own pace. Experience with breeder release or puppy mill dogs is a huge plus.

✨ Watching dogs like Gracie blossom is one of the most rewarding parts of rescue.

📩 If you are interested in adopting Gracie, please make sure you have an approved application and fee on file through our website, then email [email protected] to express your interest.

🏡 Please make sure everyone in the home is fully ready to welcome a new furry family member, including spouses, partners, and family members involved in the decision BEFORE reaching out. If you have any upcoming trips, please also have appropriate care arranged in advance.

💛 We are a small all volunteer rescue and thoughtfully match each dog based on their individual needs.

Ellie Update 🩷

Almost two weeks ago, we received a surrender request from a veterinary clinic in Buckeye. Ellie’s family made an appointment to be EUTHANIZED, claiming she had severe SM. They had also just welcomed a new baby.... an important fact. 😡

We are so grateful for that clinic and their staff, who stepped in and advocated for her. ❤️‍🩹

After a full neurological workup (and a much needed dental), it was quickly determined Ellie DOES NOT have severe SM‼️

Her symptoms are VERY VERY MILD. She occasionally scratches with her back right leg when excited. She does not need medication and may never need it, as her symptoms may never progress.

This sweet girl was almost euthanized over something so minor. Let that sink in. 💔🥺

And yet… here she is. Happy. Loving. Completely unaware of how close she came.

Ellie has done beautifully in her foster home. She is gentle, affectionate, and just wanting to be close to her people. She is fully potty trained, non destructive, and quite literally the perfect dog.

And now for the best part…

Ellie is officially adopted 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

She has joined one of our previous adopter families, with two Cavaliers, three human siblings, and wonderful parents. A perfect fit. Kristen Richardson Hellmer

Her story could have ended so differently… but this is why we do what we do.

And as you know, when you adopt or foster with us, you are family forever 🐾

✨ A little unexpected announcement… ✨

As most of you know, we recently took in 14 mill moms who have spent their lives in breeding programs.

While going through one of our sweet girl’s paperwork, we came across a note that she had been in heat and running with a mini poodle. Out of an abundance of caution, we scheduled an ultrasound… and sure enough, this mama is expecting 🐶💕

At this time, we are expecting at least two puppies.

This news brings a mix of emotions for us. We are hopeful, but also very mindful that this sweet girl is 7 years old and has spent her entire life being bred. Because of that, we are approaching this as a higher risk pregnancy and taking things one day at a time.

A few of you have reached out and asked if we spay and abort, so we just wanted to gently clarify. At CRF, we do not typically choose that path in cases like this. We deeply respect that many rescues do, especially when it comes to feral cat populations and overcrowded shelters, where it can be the most humane and responsible choice. Every situation is different, and this is simply the path we are choosing for her.

Our focus is exactly where it should be, keeping her healthy, comfortable, and feeling safe.

She is doing so well in one of our experienced foster homes and is already so loved 🥹

We will be right here with her every step of the way and will continue to share updates as we go 🤍

Please note:
We kindly ask for no puppy inquiries right now. We will share updates when the time comes.
