Well… it happened again.

Meet Mr. Big. This Cane Corso was dumped in Buckeye and is the 2nd dog we’ve taken in this month after being dumped in the desert.

A team of trappers, who go by the name of Festival Independent Trapping Team on Facebook, were able to successfully trap him and transport him to Desert Tails. He seems to be uninjured and in good health, but we’ll need to bring him to the vet for an overall checkup and get him neutered. He is an adult male and we’re still letting him decompress and learning his temperament, but he seems to be a big sweet couch potato from what we know so far!❤️‍🩹

Like, comment, and share this post so we can get more eyes on Mr. Big and spread awareness about the never ending amount of dogs that are being dumped left and right. PLEASE support your local shelters and rescues because the pet overpopulation crisis is OUT OF CONTROL and more and more dogs are being bred everyday… further contributing to this crisis and causing shelters like ours to have to turn dogs away due to lack of room, lack of funding, and lack of adopters.

This blind dog was found dumped in the desert.

Meet Copper. We posted him on our story over the weekend and are so grateful for the support we received. Copped has a vet appointment this Wednesday so he can get blood work, treatment for his wounds, and get his emergency eye removal surgery scheduled (along with being neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and anything else the vet finds).

We need to raise a minimum of $5000, which we know is A LOT… but if we can get enough eyes on this post, we know we can reach our goal and give Copper the life he deserves. Please repost and share this post, leave a comment, tag companies and potential donors, and send it to all your animal loving friends. Together, we can get Copper on the road to healing and continue rescuing dogs just like him.❤️‍🩹

Let us reintroduce you to Sylvester🤎

Sylvester came to Desert Tails with his 5 siblings after getting rescued from a hoarding situation where they were kept in a basement with wood chips and little to no human contact. Sylvester has been at the shelter since April 2025, well OVER a year ago! All of his siblings have officially been adopted, and Sylvester was pretty bummed to lose his best friends.

When Sylvester and his siblings came to us, they were TERRIFIED of humans, sudden movements, and unfamiliar sounds. It took a good amount of time for them to open up and learn to trust us, but they eventually did and have come SO FAR!❤️‍🩹

Swipe through to see Sylvester now all the way back to when he first came to us! The last video was taken shortly after they arrived at the shelter🥺

✔️Breed- Rhodesian Ridgeback mix
✔️Gender- male
✔️Age- 1.5 years old
✔️Neutered
✔️Vaccinated
✔️Microchipped
✔️Good with most dogs

Please help us find Sylvester a forever home so he can leave his life behind bars behind and experience the love and freedom he deserves🤎

Meet Trippy, our 3 legged dog❤️‍🩹

Trippy was originally found on the streets of El Paso with her leg severely broken… it had to be amputated and she then spent a few years being boarded until a rescue could take her in. Once our shelter had space, she was transported all the way to us this past March and has been with us ever since. She is an absolute sweetheart and deserves the best life where she isn’t cooped up in a kennel!

✔️Female
✔️Mixed breed
✔️4-5 years old
✔️Spayed
✔️Microchipped
✔️Vaccinated
✔️Good with most dogs but would do best as a solo dog
✔️Missing a leg but you’d never know it😉

Please comment and share this post so we can find Trippy her forever home AT LAST❤️‍🩹
