Our general meeting last night brought 20 of our teams together to share stories and listen to an amazing speaker, Cynthia Woods. She brought her guide dog, Drummer, with her. We all learned so much about what goes into training a puppy whose career will change the life of a blind person, to matching a trained dog with his/her new handler and much more. Cynthia is on tge board of Guide Dogs of the Desert . A big thanks goes out to Cynthia and Drummer.

It's been a busy spring for many Pets in Wheels teams, in additional to hundreds of weekly visits to their assigned facilities, many teams participated in events ranging from destressing college students to fun holiday pet parades at numerous facilities, to helping children at a local library by listening to them read (non-judgmentally of course) to providing joy at health fairs and a national conference.
