That’s why annual testing is such an important part of your pet’s routine healthcare. At Arizona Animal Hospital, we strongly recommend yearly screening for diseases like heartworm, Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, and ehrlichiosis as part of your pet’s annual exam. Even pets who appear perfectly healthy can test positive, which is why routine testing and prevention are so important.

PSA for pet parents this summer: hot pavement burns paws FAST. 🔥🐾

With Arizona temperatures rising and summer quickly approaching, pets can become at serious risk for heatstroke, dehydration, and burned paw pads in just minutes. ☀️

Please watch closely for signs such as:
🐾 Heavy panting
🐾 Bright red gums
🐾 Weakness or collapse
🐾 Vomiting or diarrhea

Simple precautions like early morning walks, plenty of fresh water, shaded breaks, and avoiding hot pavement can make a huge difference in keeping your pets safe this summer. ❤️

If you notice any signs of heatstroke, seek veterinary care immediately.

Dear Clients,

We're excited to share an opportunity for dogs with skin allergies to participate in a study at our clinic. If your dog struggles with skin allergies, this could be a great fit. We're currently enrolling dogs that:

* Weigh 44 lbs. or more,
* Have skin allergies
* Have not received allergy medications in the past 30 days

Participants in the study will receive an oral treatment for 4 weeks, with check-ins at weeks 1,2, and 4. All exams and bloodwork related to the study are completely free. Plus, you'll receive up to $300 towards in-clinic credit and a 1-month supply of allergy medication upon completion. Interested? Please don’t forget those last-minute prescription refills as typically we need 24 hours' notice, but we will make every effort to fulfill your request.
