A Summerwind horse came back to us in August needing recovery and TLC. Life change for the owner who felt it was best for the horse after she could not find proper care for him while she was away. She saved him the first time and cared for him for many many years. Some past injuries and severe weight loss from last winter in Canada. But on his way back already having been nursed for many months or he wouldn’t have made the trip. He seems to remember the ranch where he grew up.

We are not active unless we hear of a MM owner or a Marchador horse that needs help. It must be a purebred and proven Mangalarga Marchador. We do that from DNA proof from the USMMA and UC DAVIS. Texas A&M identifies "likely" breeds that contributed to your horses heritage.

We are dedicated to Mangalarga Marchador horses and owners, but here is a horse that needs a new home. Are you interested? The ad says he will be euthanized if they do not sell. So, we are getting involved. Also from Brazil, the Mangalarga breed is VERY related to the Mangalarga Marchador. This breed is not so focused on gait, but some individuals can be very comfortable to ride. The M Foundation is restructuring to be a private foundation used by Summerwind Marchadors and Future Foal breeders of Summerwind Marchadors. Our public fund raising efforts were not enough. But, we will continue on a small scale. The goals and the causes that we want to support remain the same! Every purchase from Summerwind will generate a donation to this Foundation which can help Marchadors or Marchador owners. Please continue to contact us if you need help.
