Hello friends of Dogs Etc. My name is Nick Buta, Mark Holly's husband, partner and friend. It's with heavy heart that I write that Mark passed away on November 16, 2018, after a short and brutal illness. I have since closed his retail location in Old Town Scottsdale on December 31, 2018. There is no on-line presence. As you may already know, Mark sure loved dogs and really enjoyed his more than 12 years in training and retail in all things dog. Mark had a special place in his heart for the shy and timid dogs as he said they needed more love and help than confident dogs. He liked engaging with humans in the store as well as he continually tried to supply them with unique, quality products for them and their dogs. He really loved the 7 or so years he offered pups the opportunity to meet Santa Paws! Every dog got a special treat and of course, a series of great Christmas photos. The world has truly lost a wonderful man in my opinion; but Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. I'm sure Mark is very busy somewhere on or around the Rainbow Bridge tending all manner of dogs, cats, horses, or any other animal waiting for us to join them someday. Mark is survived by his Mom Marjorie and me, as well as 5 dogs, 5 cats and 1 big fish. I will post one more time on his account sometime in March or early April to notify anyone interested in attending Mark's Celebration of Life gathering around his birthday on April 10. Farewell, Mark. I ( and we ) love you...

Paws – which stands for pound animals worth saving - has been open since February 2011, but sadly, they are now going to be forced to close down due to a lack of funding, if they don't get the donations they desperately need.
