🐾This past week, 13 pets found their forever homes, including 9 cats and 4 dogs. Thank you to everyone who stopped by after Memorial Day weekend and chose adoption. Every adoption creates space for us to help the next animal in need.
❤️One adoption we’re especially celebrating is Tokyo. She arrived at Foothills Animal Rescue on February 6 alongside six other dogs from a hoarding case in Winslow, Arizona. For much of her stay, she shared a room with her sister Capri, but after Capri found her forever home, it was Tokyo’s turn to shine on her own.
Over her 113 days in our care, Tokyo showed us exactly who she was: a goofy girl with a love for fetch, an expert cuddler and a pup who almost perfected her signature shake. There was never anything wrong with Tokyo. In fact, she was an incredibly good dog. Like many black dogs in shelters, she simply got overlooked.
Thankfully, the right person finally saw her.
After visiting Tokyo three separate times to make sure they were the perfect match, her adopter called us on May 29 and said he was on his way to make it official. After 113 days of waiting, Tokyo finally went home.
We couldn't be happier for this sweet girl and her new family. Congratulations, Tokyo. Your second chance was worth the wait! 🏡🐶
