Some cats look for a cozy bed. Magnum apparently prefers… the recycling bin. 😂♻️🐱

This little guy was discovered hanging out inside like he had found his own private VIP lounge. Was he stuck? Exploring? Just checking to make sure we were recycling properly? Magnum isn’t taking questions at this time. 😂

Thankfully, he was safely retrieved, and yes, he remained ridiculously cute throughout the entire operation. 🥹🐾♻️

We can’t wait to share this special evening celebrating animal rescue and the lives changed through second chances!

🌈🐾 In Loving Memory of Whiskers 🐾🌈

When Whiskers first came into our care, we hoped her story would follow a familiar path: settle in, meet some wonderful families, and eventually head home with one of them. 💜

Whiskers had already begun meeting potential adopters when we learned that she had cancer. Her journey changed, but our commitment to her didn't.

Whiskers moved into our Executive Director's home for hospice care, where she was able to spend the rest of her life in the comfort of a home, surrounded by people who loved her. 🏡💕 And while saying goodbye is never easy, we are grateful that she knew exactly what it felt like to belong.

Every cat who comes into Safe Haven becomes part of our family. It doesn't matter whether they stay for days, months, or years. It doesn't matter whether their next chapter is an adoption or whether we have the privilege of caring for them through the end of their life.

We are their Safe Haven for however long they need us. 🐱🐾

Whiskers was loved. She was home. And she will always be part of our family.

Rest peacefully, sweet girl. 🌈✨💜

✨ From severe ringworm to shelter royalty! ✨

When Nieve came to Safe Haven for Animals, she was suffering from a severe case of ringworm and needed extensive care. We knew her road to recovery would require time, patience, and specialized medical support. With the PACC911 Critical Care Program by our side, we were able to give Nieve the treatment she needed and the second chance she deserved. 🐱💖

Today, Nieve is fully recovered, has been adopted by our executive director, and has become a beloved mascot for our shelter and sanctuary! Just look at that glow-up! 👑❄️

At first glance, Tiny Tim appears to be just a handsome gentleman enjoying a quiet afternoon in his favorite chair. 🪑🐱

But as one of our longtime residents, Tiny Tim has built an entire secret life at the shelter. He has friendships to maintain, cat meetings to attend, hallways to supervise, and plenty of important shelter business that we humans are apparently not cleared to know about. 😹🐾

We think it’s time for Tiny Tim to take his thriving social life, lovable personality, and impressive lounging skills into a home of his own. 💕🏡
