Today, we had the honor of celebrating the graduation of class #1783! Over the past six weeks, we’ve had the privilege of training these officers from 8 different law enforcement agencies across 3 states.
This graduating class included:
🐾 2 Narcotics/Tracking Teams
🐾 6 Apprehension/Tracking/Narcotics Teams
🐾 1 Apprehension/Tracking/Explosives Team
🐾 1 Instructor
To say we are proud of this group would be an understatement. This was our biggest class so far at the new location. Over the past six weeks, we've watched these handlers put in countless hours of hard work, overcome challenges, push themselves outside their comfort zones, and build incredible partnerships with their K-9s. Their dedication to their dogs, their departments, and the communities they serve has been nothing short of inspiring.
We were missing one of our handlers today due to illness, and his absence was certainly felt. We missed having him there to celebrate alongside his classmates, but we are just as proud of his accomplishments!
To our graduates: Your graduation may mark the end of this course, but it is certainly not the end of your training. Every Ventosa K9 handler course graduate receives one full year of free maintenance training, including access to our seminars. We encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity. Come back. Train with us. Ask questions. Challenge yourselves. Keep learning, keep growing, and never settle for where you are today.
One of the things we value most about keeping our training program small is the opportunity to truly get to know our handlers. Over these six weeks, you become so much more than a name on a class roster. We get to know your personalities, your strengths, your struggles, your families, and the people behind the badge. We build relationships that we hope last long after graduation day. That is genuinely one of the greatest gifts of what we get to do. When we say you're part of the Ventosa family, we mean it. Whether you need training advice, help working through an issue with your dog, a second opinion, or just someone to bounce ideas off of, we are always a phone call away. Never hesitate to reach out.
And please, keep us updated! We want to hear about your successes, your first finds, your apprehensions, and all the milestones along the way. We love watching the teams we've trained go out and make a difference.
Class #1783, thank you for trusting us with your training, for giving us your best over these past six weeks, and for allowing us to be a small part of your K-9 careers. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you, and we cannot wait to see what you accomplish next 🚔🐾🙌🏻
