If you’re the person at the party who ends up hanging out with the dog instead of the people… keep reading. 😂

Recurve K9 is looking for reliable, hardworking people to join our dog care team.

This is not a job where you stand around petting puppies all day. Our team works hands on with dogs of all sizes, breeds, personalities and energy levels in a structured daycare and boarding environment. You’ll be responsible for safe dog handling, cleaning, feeding, supervising play, maintaining routines and helping keep our facility running smoothly.

🐕 Starting pay: $17-$19/hour, depending on experience and skill level
🐕 Opportunities for advancement as you develop your handling and leadership skills
🐕 Hands on experience working with a wide variety of dogs
🐕 Training and support provided

We’re looking for people who are:
• Dependable, seriously, this matters!
• Comfortable with physical, fast paced work
• Interested in learning canine behavior and handling
• Able to follow systems and safety protocols
• Willing to clean. A lot. Dogs are gross. 😂
• Available for a combination of early mornings, midday shifts, nights, weekends and holidays
• Equipped with reliable transportation to Scituate

Professional dog handling, kennel, daycare, veterinary, shelter or training experience is a plus, but not required! We'll train you if you have the right attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn! 😎

Welp, Mother Nature has decided she has absolutely no respect for my schedule.

Tomorrow morning’s leash class is canceled because of the storm.

As much as I enjoy teaching leash skills.. I do not enjoy doing it while everyone is soaked and miserable.

We’ll get a new date figured out soon!

Our Treat Bar enrichments are officially in full swing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From peanut butter and pumpkin latte to berry goat’s milk, broths, Super Shrooms and more, our enrichment options give dogs a little extra something to look forward to during their day with us.

Because daycare can be more than just playtime. It can be sniffing, licking, tasting, thinking, decompressing… and apparently becoming a tiny food critic. 😂

🐾 We gave daycare a little "extra flavor"..

The enrichment room at Recurve K9 Scituate is officially set up! Our Engage and Elevate enrichment levels are now available for daycare dogs who enjoy having hobbies.

✨ ENGAGE: daycare + 1 individual enrichment activity
✨ ELEVATE: daycare + 2 individual enrichment activities

Activities rotate and can include movement, problem solving, sensory work, food enrichment and other ways to convince your dog they’ve had a very productive day.

Speaking of food…

🎃 Pumpkin Latte has joined the Treat Bar for fall, because apparently pumpkin spice season applies to dogs now too.

🌈 We also have new Biothane gear coming in a ridiculous number of colors, why choose one when you can choose many?

So yes… there’s a lot happening around Scituate. 😎

We’re thinking about doing a leash class in Scituate! 🐾

We’re looking at a Saturday morning group leash skills class in our parking lot. The focus would be on pulling, handler communication, engagement, passing distractions and actually being able to walk your dog like a civilized member of society. 😎

Likely 10 AM on a Saturday in Scituate.

The last couple of weeks have brought a lot of change for all of us.

Our Norwell and Scituate clients have been partying together at the Scituate shop! We’re all settling in. It hasn’t been perfectly seamless because real life rarely is and also because... dogs.

More than anything we’re just happy to have everyone together. Familiar faces, new faces and a whole lot of dogs making themselves right at home.

Thank you to our clients for being patient with us through the transition while we find our new rhythm. We’re getting there and we can’t wait to share some fun things on the horizon!

I'm still processing all of what is going on but I wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for the support.

I also want to brag on my team, they have been such incredible badasses throughout all of this. None of any of this would be possible without them. Their dedication to the dogs and to Recurve itself, is inspiring.

The calls, texts, emails and words of encouragement have been humbling. I can’t find the words to describe exactly how much it really and truly means to me but I love you all 🐾🥰
