Meet Hoppy!

Look at Hoppy's cute little face! This sweet, petite young lady is looking for a home that values a fun, friendly personality. She came to us after she was found inside the walls of an apartment building. Once they got her free they asked around and nobody claimed her. Now she is with us waiting for a home to call her own.

Meet Snowball!

Snowball is a substantial gal at nearly 12 pounds, but that just means there is more of her to love! She is about 7 years old and is diabetic. She takes a pill once a day to treat it and is doing great! She takes the pill easily crushed up in her wet food. The medicine (Bexacat) does cost around $125/month, but she is responding well. An insulin injection is a less costly treatment alternative that the adopter can discuss with their veterinarian if they would like to go that route.

She had a dental while in our care, which is a nice savings for her potential adopter since they can be very pricey!

She is reported by volunteers to be sweet and mellow. Snowball deserves a nice retirement home on someone's couch! Will it be yours?

It's National Dog Day — a great day to celebrate dogs of all shapes and sizes! From dogs waiting for their forever homes in a shelter like ours to working dogs to beloved family pets, all dogs deserve a chance at an amazing life!

Bonnie + Munchkins: a love story 🧡

Bonnie is the kind of dog who makes you smile just by being around her. She loves her walks, her treats, a good play session, and being close to her people. And after everything has quieted down, she’d be more than happy to claim a spot beside you on the couch.

She’s been waiting patiently for someone to choose her, and we’d really love for her turn to be next. 🥹

Let’s get this sweet girl home before summer ends. 🏡💙

Meet Milo! 🐾

Milo came to us from another shelter and we’re hoping we can be the ones to find him a home. At just 13 pounds, he’s a cute, playful little guy who loves his walks, a good game of fetch, and once the fun is over snuggling up with his favorite humans.

Milo can be a little reactive when he sees other dogs on walks, but his small size makes him manageable, and there’s so much more to this sweet boy than that.

He’s already waited long enough. We’d love nothing more than to see Milo home before summer ends.

8 pounds of pure perfection. Meet Poppy!

Poppy is an adorable 7-month-old Shorkie with a whole lot of love packed into one tiny package. She’s sweet with everyone she meets, loves other dogs, and we think she’d be wonderful with children and could happily live with cats, too.

Basically, Poppy is ready to walk right into a family and steal everyone’s heart.

So many incredible animals. One thing in common: they’re all waiting for home!

Buck, Lexie, Nala, Bonnie, Maple + Chloe, Woody, and Nora are all currently available for adoption at SAS and somewhere out there are the people they’ve been waiting for.

Some are looking for adventure buddies. Some want a quiet place to land. Some want a couch and a person to call their own. And some just need someone willing to give them a chance.

Our **Home Before Summer Ends** mission is still going strong, and we need your help. Even if you’re not looking to adopt, sharing this post could put one of these faces in front of exactly the right person.
