R&R — Rest & Revival

This weekend was created with intention.
Not just as a riding clinic.
Not just as a girls weekend.
But as a space for women to slow down, breathe, reconnect and refill the cup they are constantly pouring out of. ❤️

R&R stands for:
✨ Rest
✨ Refuel
✨ Revive
✨ Repair
✨ Reset

This retreat is centered around horses, faith, fellowship and stepping away from the chaos of everyday life for a little while. Through riding, devotionals, campfires, meaningful conversations, worship, laughter and quiet moments with horses - my hope is that women leave feeling lighter, encouraged, and spiritually refreshed.

And the best part? You do not have to be an experienced rider to come. If you’re nervous to ride, haven’t ridden in years, or simply want the fellowship and peaceful atmosphere without pressure, there will absolutely be space for that too. This weekend is about meeting people where they are.

Sometimes the most healing thing we can do is slow down long enough to hear God again.

Horses. Faith. Fellowship. Rest.

I truly believe this weekend is going to be something special. A lot of prayers are flowing into weekend.

If you are interested in learning more message me to secure your spot! ❤️

We have a HUGE hayfield for parking which means we’ll be able to host bigger events and bring more people together. I’m dreaming of late-night races, packed trailers, arena lights glowing, and creating a place where people feel welcomed, encouraged and excited to come ride.

It’s wild to look at an empty field and already see the dream so clearly. But that’s what Honest Equine has always been to me — building something bigger than ourselves, one step at a time.

When we bought this place we said ‘It’s you and me babe - let’s swing for the fences’. And we’re doing just that!

So much work ahead. So many plans. So many dreams coming to life!!!

We had such a good day with a really good group of horses and kids. ⭐️

Alex made his first run back in over a year after having to step away for surgery. Seeing him back in the saddle on Dealer, makes me so happy! 😁

Ashland and Abby stepped it up to a whole new speed today and handled it so well. Watching confidence click into place is one of my favorite things!

Lily and Piper made their very first trip to town and did awesome. New places, new sights, new experiences — and they handled it all like pros.

Virginia and I also brought Athena and Phoenix along just for exposure and they did great. Sometimes the little wins matter most — learning to haul, backing out of the trailer, stand tied, settle their minds and just be good citizens.

Days like this remind me that horsemanship is built in the small moments. Quiet progress. Good horses. Good people. Lots of learning. I couldn’t love my job more ❤️🐴

I love this part of training, bringing them up one step at a time. Each one is in a different stage of training, but it’s all the same - one step at a time. I am blessed to be able to breed and watch them grow through every stage of life.

Every single one teaches you something different: patience, timing, softness, leadership… and when to just sit back and listen.

These girls are all so different, yet all so talented in their own way. Watching their minds grow and their personalities come out is the fun part. 🐴✨

A foal doesn’t care about your titles, your awards, or how long you’ve been doing this. They expose every hole in your foundation — your timing, your patience, your consistency, your emotions. They force you to slow down, listen better, and keep learning.

And honestly? I think every horse person should own a baby (with guidance) at some point in their life.

Not because it’s easy. But because it changes you. It forces you to grow as a horseman.

Babies teach you softness.
They teach you timing.
They teach you to lead instead of force, how to ask instead of tell.
They teach you how important the little things are.
And most importantly — they teach you humility.

There are so many learning opportunities in raising a young horse. You learn body language, emotional control, confidence building, groundwork, trust, leadership and patience. So much patience. They make you become a student again.

That’s the beautiful thing about horsemanship:
The moment you think you know everything… a horse reminds you that you don’t.

Every c**t I raise reminds me that good horsemanship isn’t about controlling a horse.
It’s about understanding one.

At Honest Equine, that’s one of the biggest things I want people to learn. Not just how to ride horses — but how to think, communicate, and grow alongside them with softness, leadership, and intention.

This photo is Virginia and Phoenix. This little filly has pushed her in every way possible. And the growth in Virginia is phenomenal.

Horsemanship is never finished. You learn something new every day.

Shelby is stepping into a new era ❤️

A few weeks ago during a practice run, some old injuries flared up. After a lot of thought, long conversations and many prayers; I made the decision to retire her from competition and let her step into a new role as a broodmare.

As hard as those decisions can be, I truly believe horses deserve for us to listen to them. Shelby deserves a long life of being loved, spoiled, pampered, and appreciated — not pushed through pain.

Shelby is incredibly bred, talented and athletic. She is a big mare with a great mind. Her characteristics will shine in her foals. She loves the babies and has been babysitting the yearlings. I think motherhood is going to fit her beautifully.

Shine is going to teach her the ropes! She’s already a phenomenal mama and I have no doubt she’ll show Shelby exactly how it’s done.

The girls head back Sunday to be bred, and I’m so excited (and praying over every step of this next chapter). Maybe someday down the road, once Shelby has had time to heal and just be a horse, she’ll get to step into another softer role too — teaching kids as a lesson horse.

For now, she just gets to be loved. And I think that’s a pretty good deal. ❤️

Three camps with ONE purpose. 🐴✝️

This summer at Honest Equine, we’ve created camps for every stage of life to step away from the noise and step into something deeper.

✨ R&R – Rest & Revival (Adults) July 10-12
A place to slow down, breathe and be poured back into. Time with horses, quiet moments with God and meaningful connection.

✨ W.A.L.K. Camp (Tweens & Teens) July 28-30
Where faith meets real life. Walking in faith. Accountability. Leadership. Kindness.
Where we learn how to walk with God—both in and out of the saddle.

✨ Lil’ Boots Camp (10 & under) August 5-7
Where little boots learn big lessons 🤍
Through horses, games and hands-on moments; kids learn kindness, responsibility and who God is calling them to be.

These aren’t just camps - they are moments you will never forget. I look forward to these every year. I am expanding my ideas and letting Jesus take the reins. He has put these on my heart and I cannot wait to share them with you all!

These camps are limited, message now to secure your spot! ❤️

Normally you gotta worry about the kids making silly faces… Duke said “watch this” 😂

I wouldn’t trade these moments for a million dollars —good horses, great kids and a whole lot of personality packed into one picture. This is what it’s all about. 🐴💛

Nursing is an instinct that’s just built in 🤍

Foals are born and within minutes they’re trying to stand, within an hour they’re nursing and just a short time later they’re already moving around exploring the world. No one teaches them that. There’s no instruction manual given, they just know. It’s like a quiet whisper God places inside them, guiding them exactly where they need to go.

Every birth I am blessed to witness feels like a miracle - every single time. Something that has been designed with intention, down to the ‘fairy feet’ foals are born with.

It’s bigger than us. It’s spectacular. When people ask me, how do you know God is real? I have quite a few answers, but this is one of them.

After 2 ½ weeks of being on the edge of our seats, Big Mama Sparkle delivered a beautiful, big-boned c**t.

Tuesday at 3:00am she had a great labor and birth. It doesn’t matter how many times you watch it… birth is miraculous every time 💛

He is big… he is smart… he is cute… and he is VERY aware of it 😂

His daddy is Streakin Lil Wayne, and there won’t be many more of these babies around—which makes him pretty special right from the start.

Mama Sparkle is doing great and very proud to show off her new baby.

Streakin For Dat Cash x Streakin Lil Wayne
On his papers:
⭐️ A Streak of Fling
⭐️ Streakin Six
⭐️ Lady Bug Biankus
⭐️ Dash of Royal Gold
