Happy 3rd Birthday Cardinal Lazuli. You are a speed demon full of love, inquisitiveness and a hunting instinct and ability like no other. Love your spirit and you keep me on my toes. Ready to do anything at any moment. Looking forward to some hog hunting with you. So sad we got less than stellar news from your OFA rads, and not being able to brèed you and share the wonderful dog you are! You are my firecracker none the less.

SAD news! We will be removing "Cardinal Lazuli" from our breeding program. We just had her OFA hips/elbows done. Hips came back good, however her elbows came back with degenerative joint disease in both elbows at only 2yrs old. They said it was congenital so unfortunately we wont be breeding her. She is an amazing dog with such a brain and spirit about her. Was really looking forward to her pups. She will be scheduled for a spay before years end.
****THIS is why we do our testing!!!

We sadly lost the matriarch of our pack "Lexi". She was 17 1/2yrs old. A true testament to the gritty perseverence of a Catahoula Leopard Dog. She was our 1st and the one who made me fall in love with the breed. We never bred her. We loved her and had many many adventures and experiences together. She was our childrens childhood dog and was the one who became the mother to the pack. She had a calm persistent gentle nature about her. Never a mean bone ever. We all miss her and I doubt there will be another like her.
Our daughter made her a cross from the woods and we buried her at the edge of our field in Tn. She loved to run the fields and go on truck rides. Never stopped running til day she died! Goodbye Lexi...💜

Guess who found his home 1 month before his 1yr birthday?
"Guardians Mantis"
He is gonna live with another catahoula and a cat. He will be trained to be a duck dog and hunting companion and sidekick to his human. He will stay in NY. He has been maturing nicely and his new family gets a great dog. He is a keeper for sure..but can't with my 2 boys. He will be close so it makes my heart happy! 🥰
