Migraines seem to be touching more and more lives, from teenagers and college students to women moving through perimenopause and menopause.

In the latest Gathering Basket, Emily shares what she has been observing in her own work with Skullcap, a gentle nervine traditionally used to support the nervous system. While research has not yet studied Skullcap specifically for migraines, consistent daily use has made a meaningful difference for several people in her life who experience them.

The blog takes a closer look at why Skullcap may be worth exploring, what we know about its relationship with the nervous system, and how Emily has been using it as both an extract and a daily tisane. She also shares a simple Nervous-System Tisane recipe made with Skullcap, Nettles, and Milky Oats.

This is not a cure or a clinical study, but rather an invitation to learn more about a plant that continues to surprise us with the many ways it can offer support.

Common Ground Fair is just around the corner, and we’re getting so excited to welcome you back to the Meeting House Farm booth!

Come find us September 25, 26, and 27 for a weekend filled with herbs, plants, learning, and community. We’ll have plenty of Meeting House Farm and Meeting House Collaborative offerings to explore, and Emily will also be giving several talks throughout the weekend.

We’re so happy to introduce Thistle Moon Farmstead in Wilton, Maine, stewarded by Stephanie Henley and Mat Bickford.

Their farm is home to heirloom highbush blueberries first planted in the 1940s, along with native herbs, edible flowers, vegetables, and botanicals grown with care through regenerative, biodynamic, and organic practices. Stephanie’s work as an herbalist, clinical aromatherapist, and licensed aesthetician also shapes their beautiful line of seed-to-skin body products, including handcrafted soaps, Rosewater Toner, Botanical Facial Steam, and more.

This summer, you can visit the farm for U-Pick blueberries through the end of August, or explore their herbal teas and body products in our online marketplace.

Lemon Balm is one of those plants I can’t walk past without reaching down to touch a leaf. Its bright lemon scent rises immediately, and when it flowers, the bees seem to find it before anyone else does.

In the newest blog, I’m sharing more about how I grow and harvest Lemon Balm, why regular cutting is the secret to keeping it well behaved, and how I use the dried leaf for tea, tincture, and infused oil. I also share some of the ways I reach for it when stress settles into the nervous system or the stomach, along with one of my favorite cooling summer tea blends.

We’re excited to introduce Regenerative Mycology, one of the farms in the Meeting House Farm Collaborative.

Based in Dryden, New York, Regenerative Mycology is an off-grid mushroom farm led by Certified Mushroom Forager Darren Johnson. His work is rooted in regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, sustainable foraging, and a deep respect for the forest ecosystems that make mushroom cultivation possible.

From carefully cultivated turkey tail and reishi to sustainably foraged mushrooms, every harvest is timed with close attention to freshness, flavor, and potency. Darren also shares his knowledge through mushroom forays, cultivation workshops, and community events.
