National Pet Fire Safety Day is an important reminder to make sure our pets are included in our emergency plans. 🔥

Does your household have a plan that accounts for your furry family members? Now is the time to think through evacuation routes, pet carriers, and who to call. Your pet's safety matters as much as anyone else's in your home. 🐾❤️

🦇 **Bat Exposure? Don't Take Chances.** 🦇

Any direct exposure to a bat should be taken seriously because of the risk of rabies. If possible, the bat should be safely captured and tested for rabies.

If the bat cannot be tested, your healthcare provider or local public health department may recommend **post-exposure rabies treatment** as a precaution.

If you or your pet has had contact with a bat, seek medical or veterinary advice as soon as possible. When it comes to rabies, acting quickly can save lives.

Capture their unique personalities, share their adorable moments online, and make them the main focus of your day. 📸
