Heatstroke is a true emergency—and every minute matters. 🐾

If your dog collapses, has trouble breathing, seems confused, has a seizure, or loses consciousness, don’t wait to see if they improve. Begin gently cooling them with cool (not ice-cold) water while heading to the nearest emergency veterinarian immediately.

Quick action can make all the difference. Knowing the signs and responding promptly could save your dog’s life. ❤️

A summer groom does more than keep your pup looking great—it helps them stay comfortable, too! 🐾

Regular grooming removes excess undercoat, prevents painful mats, improves airflow through the coat, and keeps the skin healthier. Remember, shaving isn’t always the coolest option. For many breeds, a healthy, well-maintained coat actually helps protect them from the summer heat.

Not sure what’s best for your dog’s coat? Talk with your groomer about the safest length for your pup’s breed and lifestyle. 💙

A quick stop can become dangerous faster than most people realize. 🐾

Even with the windows cracked, the temperature inside a parked car can rise dramatically in just a few minutes. Dogs can’t cool themselves as efficiently as we can, making them especially vulnerable to heatstroke.

If you’re running errands and can’t bring your pup inside with you, the safest choice is to leave them comfortably at home. It could save their life. ❤️

Not all dogs handle the heat the same way. Some pups need a little extra care during the warmer months. ☀️💙

Flat-faced breeds, puppies, senior dogs, overweight dogs, and dogs with heart or breathing conditions can overheat much faster than healthy adult dogs. Keep outdoor time shorter, provide plenty of fresh water, and watch closely for signs of heat stress.

When in doubt, head inside and let your pup cool off. A little extra caution can make all the difference in keeping them safe this summer!
