Everyone meet Phyllis the 💣 detection dog hahaha.

She is getting used to her cross and it shows. She is very clumsy and awkward 😅

Disclaimer: this is her 3rd day in crocs... she isn't being "hurt" by us not letting her be a dog. We are using walks to distract her from wanting them off. She is fine and gets to use her nose all the time. She'll need to for her job of course. There are times to sniff and time to walk. Kinda have to know the difference and allow her not to just do what she wants.

PSA: Life Update

Guys, things in life happen that we don't expect nor do we plan it (imagine that) but we wanted to share that we will be stepping away fully from the private lessons (pet dog) training of our business.

For people we have on the calendar already and have evaluations set up... we will honor you and move forward with training but after today we will no longer be taking on private dog training clients.

We will 100% be focusing on our working dog adventures only.

We want to thank the people that have been with us since the start, shared our stuff, asked how we were doing, and recommending people to us. We appreciate people greatly and take what we have learned and move forward.

If you contact us for training, will we try to recommend someone that we trust but we cannot guarantee someone as of right now.

Here is what the person who took the dog in says about him:

"We believe his name is Remy, it’s the only thing he seems to respond to.He walks on loose lead, knows down, sit, shake, toy and kennel. If you ask him to go to his kennel he will go and sit even with the door open and not come out until asked. He is potty trained and will sit at the door and whine to go out. He’s estimated to be a year and a half old. He’s current on vaccinations, flea & tick and heartworm medication. He does have a chip that can be registered to whoever adopts him. Loves to go for rides in vehicles. Never shown aggression towards any person he’s met. We have not had him around young kids."

We have worked with the Pooch and know they care for dogs and we are suggesting them as another option for boarding as we no longer offer it.

Call them to see their process and find out if your dog would be a good fit with them.

Yesterday we had Henry and Winston out in the garage with us.

Two different dogs, breeds, ages, and expectations but one goal: being calm.

Tethering is a HUGE part of our training no matter the age. Its so important that dogs learn how to calm down, shut the brain down, and be okay doing nothing.

This isn’t an instant exercise. Its over and over putting a leash on, and doing nothing. No toys and no attention. Its learning that they dont need to be doing something all the time or having attention whenever they want it. Cause that nose will get them on trouble lol.

If you want a calmer dog, this is where we suggest you start.

Tethering also is great for dogs needing to be potty trained cause it helps you control where your dog can go and pay attention to body language to make sure you see when they are about to go and take them outside.

You dont have to dread your dog. You can have a dog that can be " bored" you just have to want it and want your dog to succeed.

We do this with a lot of our board and trains especially puppies but also our service dogs.
