Hooray for Rikki, our September Pet of the Month! Rikki is a true sweetheart of a dog everyone who meets her adores her. She was named after Ricky from Trailer Park Boys and is passionate about her food, loving to eat anything and everything. Shes cute all the time but special shoutout when she does her downward dog stretches with a great big pug yawn. Honorable mention to when she sits ON her sisters as well.

We love getting to care for you Rikki and we hope your special month is filled with short lived squeaky toys and delicious bones to chew on!

Congratulations to our August Pet of the Month (The Amazing) Cash! Cash is a 7 year old Lab named after the equally legendary Johnny Cash. He loves catching tennis balls and uses those skills to be able to catch blueberries from 8 feet away! When he's not breaking berry catching distance records he prefers watching the world from the window over football (he hates it and will leave the room if its on. He's a true Labrador though and loves all foods especially peanut butter and swimming at the cabin whenever he can.

His owner says he's had a lot of good dogs in his life but Cash is one of those dogs that is truly amazing. Way to go Cash, we are so happy to be able to know and care for you!

Most pet owners have thought about what they would grab in an emergency, but not everyone has included their pets in the plan.

Yesterday was Pet Fire Safety Day, but today we are seeing the smoke here in MN. Place a pet alert sticker on your window so responders know animals are inside. Keep a go-bag with food, water, and medical records near the door. And make sure your pet is part of every practice drill. Protecting your pet is part of protecting your home.

Our pet of the month is Blaze! He is a one-year-old terrier mix belonging to our employee, Erin. Blaze would play tug and fetch all day if he could. He enjoys camping with his family and barking at anything that moves—including leaves. His favorite activity is playing with the two boys in his family and they are all getting really good at catching frisbees!
