Adoption update! We loved receiving this wonderful update on Farley, who was a staff and volunteer favorite at both our Ozaukee and Racine campuses! 💖
"Just wanted to send an update after everyone fell in love with Farley at the Ozaukee campus when I came in to meet her.
So far, Farley has come into our home as though she were just on a brief vacation from us - it has been a very organic transition for everyone…other than the cat, who has given a few eye rolls, and I think muttered “unbelievable” under his breath the first day. Haha!
Farley has been very patient and tender to our 4-year-old and 7-month-old. She also quickly connected with my husband and gets excited to see any of us. She is most excited to go outside, which is perfect because we spend all day in our big yard.
She is either incredibly smart or has some previous training. She sits perfectly in the car and will only exit out her door. Every night, she escorts herself to her bed while we do our nightly routine and waits for me to tuck her in so she can lay down to sleep. Her potty skills are top-notch, and her listening exceeds my expectations.
She’s already the talk of the town, and it’s easy to understand why. We are so grateful for her, the employees at Ozaukee, and the Humane Society’s devotion to these animals.
Here are some pictures for all to enjoy of Farley’s adventures…" - Colleen. ❤️
