Exciting news to share! South Peak Veterinary Hospital has been recertified as an AAHA-Accredited hospital. Only 15% of small animal hospitals carry this distinction. Earning this distinction requires meeting the highest quality standards in all aspects of veterinary care as well as a commitment to continuously updating those standards to stay at the forefront of the profession. Dr. Leighton and the team put a great deal of time, thought, and energy into the last few months to meet these high standards. Special thanks go to Heather Brady and Leann Crawford as they worked tirelessly preparing all the data. September is National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month and last week (September 6-12) marked National Su***de Prevention Week. Those who follow social media saw many reminders of this important mental health crisis from other practices and organized veterinary medicine. South Peak Veterinary Hospital has patiently waited to add to the posts as we know the severity of this crisis is especially alarming in our profession and requires constant awareness year-round.
