👅 Tongue Out Thursday with Teddy! 🐾

Teddy does SO much better getting groomed in the comfort of his own home! 🏡💕 By the end of his groom, he’s so relaxed that he starts to fall asleep on the table. 💤

The hustle and bustle of a traditional salon, with all the extra dogs, people, and noise, can be overstimulating for some pups. With one-on-one housecall grooming, Teddy gets a calmer, more personalized experience in his own familiar environment. 🤍

This is exactly why I love what I do! Being able to make grooming a more relaxing, positive experience for dogs like Teddy makes it all worth it. 🐶

Regular brushing keeps your dogs coat healthier and easy to maintain in between appointments. Establish a daily brushing routine to prevent matting - which can turn into shave down and dematting fees.

Step 1. Spray the coat with a high quality brushing spray. My favorite is Just Divine by Chris Christensen or Crown Royale Magic Touch.

Step 2. Starting at the bottom, part the hair and work your way up brushing in sections. Use a quality slicker brush.

Step 3. Follow your work with a metal greyhound comb. If it snags, go back in with the slicker brush.

Step 4. Remember to reward your pup for good behavior

What is house call grooming?
House call grooming is a form of grooming where the groomer brings their tools and equipment and grooms your pet in your home or other suitable area.

Where do you groom?
A calm, distraction free area.
I have a portable bath tub that stands up in the shower or bathtub for bathing. I can also use the kitchen or utility sink for small dogs.
Grooming can be done in any distraction free, calm area - example include the bathroom, laundry room, or garage (weather permitting).

What do I need to supply?
All l ask you to provide is a towel and access to electricity and water. I supply everything else including the table, shampoo, and dryer.

Can I stay with my dog during grooming?
owners are allowed to watch trom a distance of at least lu teet away as long as their dog stays calm on the table. If your pet is distracted or trying to get to you, I may ask you to move where your pet can’t see you.
