Vet Tech Week Spotlight Amber D.🐾🐾

Every clinic has that one person who knows things nobody else knows.
Not because there’s a manual.
Not because there’s a spreadsheet.
Not because anyone wrote it down.
She just… knows.
At Saxony, that person is Amber D. 😂
Amber has worn about twelve different hats around here over the years, and at this point we’re pretty sure part of her brain is permanently synced with the building.
Need to know where something is?
Ask Amber.
Need to know who we order it from?
Ask Amber.
As our inventory manager and lead tech, she is the keeper of the shelves, the watcher of the stock, the defender of the special orders, and the person most likely to hear:
“Amberrrrr… we’re almost out of—”
…about six seconds after she already ordered it.
She knows our vendors, our products, our patients, and our routines.
Amber, thank you for keeping tabs on the things the rest of us forget exist until we suddenly need them RIGHT NOW.
Thank you for being part of the weird little family that makes Saxony, Saxony.
And thank you for continuing to tolerate hearing your name yelled from three different rooms at once.
Happy Vet Tech Week, Amber! 🐾🩺📦
May the shelves stay stocked, the backorders be brief, and nobody touch the inventory you just finished reorganizing!
Leave your thanks for Amber D. below!

🐾 Vet Tech Week Spotlight: Amber M. 🐾
Some people are great at reception.
Some people are great in the back.
Amber M. somehow came in and proved pretty quickly that she can do both — and do both exceptionally well. ❤️
She may be one of the newer members of the Saxony family, but she has already become one of those people we count on without even thinking twice about it.
At the front desk, she is patient, kind, organized, and steady when the phones are ringing and everyone seems to need something at once.
In the back, she jumps right in, helps with patients, supports the tech team, and handles the medical side with that same calm, capable energy.
And that combination is incredibly valuable.
Amber understands both sides of the clinic — the people walking through the front door and the patients being cared for behind it. She can switch gears in a heartbeat and somehow remain dependable no matter where she is needed.
One minute she’s helping a nervous client.
The next she’s helping restrain a patient.
Then the phone rings and she’s right back up front like she wasn’t just doing twelve other things. 😂
But what we appreciate most about Amber isn’t simply that she can do so much.
It’s that she is steadfast.
When things get busy, she stays.
When someone needs help, she steps in.
When there’s something to learn, she learns it.
And when the day gets chaotic she keeps moving forward with the team.
That kind of person becomes important very quickly.
Amber, you may not have been part of this little family for as long as some of us, but you have absolutely become a meaningful part of it.
We appreciate your flexibility, your patience, your willingness to help wherever you are needed, and the steady presence you bring to both the front and back of this clinic.
We are genuinely lucky to have you here.
Happy Vet Tech Week, Amber M.! 🐾🩺❤️
Thank you for being the kind of teammate we can lean on — whether there’s a phone in your hand, a leash in your hand, or somehow both. 😂

🐾Vet Tech Week Spotlight: Claire 🐾
Every clinic needs someone who can walk into chaos and somehow make it feel… less chaotic.
For us, that’s Claire. ❤️
Claire is organized, calm, efficient, kind, and one of those people who always seems to have a handle on what’s happening — even when the rest of us are one phone call away from becoming feral.
She doesn’t bring extra drama to a busy day.
She brings stability.
When things get hectic, Claire is steady.
When something needs done, Claire gets it done.
When a patient needs patience, she has it.
When a coworker needs help, she’s there.
And somehow she manages to be efficient without ever making people feel rushed or unimportant — which is a very special kind of skill in veterinary medicine.
She’s the kind of teammate who makes a hard day easier simply because you know she’s there.
And in a little clinic like ours, that means everything.
Claire, thank you for being dependable, thoughtful, calm under pressure, and consistently kind to the people and animals around you.
Thank you for being one of the people who helps keep Saxony moving forward when the day gets messy.
We appreciate the quiet confidence you bring to this place more than you probably realize.
Happy Vet Tech Week, Claire! 🐾🩺❤️
May your patients be cooperative, your rooms be stocked, and may nobody say “quick question” when it is absolutely NOT a quick question. 😂

🐾 Vet Tech Week Spotlight: Nicollette 🐾
Every clinic has that one person who is quietly holding the entire place together while everyone else is running around asking things like:
“WHO HAS THE CLIPPERS?”
“WHY IS THIS WET?”
“WHO PUT THIS HERE?”
“HAS ANYONE SEEN MY PEN?”
“IS THAT BLOOD… OR POO?” 😂
At Saxony, that person is Nicollette.
Our beloved Nicollette is quiet, calm, suspiciously efficient, and somehow always three tasks ahead of the rest of us.
While the rest of us are surviving on snacks, caffeine, questionable decision-making, and pure veterinary spite, Nicollette has already cleaned the room, restocked the supplies, helped with the patient, found the missing instrument, and probably wiped down something nobody else even knew was dirty.
She does not need applause.
She does not need a committee meeting.
She does not need six reminders.
She simply appears, handles the problem, and disappears back into the clinic like some kind of highly trained veterinary superhero.
She is dependable, kind, hardworking, proactive, and one of those people who makes everyone else’s day easier without ever making a big deal about it.
She may be quiet, but her contribution to Saxony is LOUD.
Nicollette, thank you for putting up with the chaos, the animals, the bodily fluids, the weird questions, the snack crumbs, and the rest of us.
We love you, Nicollette ❤️

🐾💙 What is a Vet Tech?
They’re the extra set of hands in the exam room, the watchful eyes during anesthesia, the ones running lab work, taking X-rays, giving treatments, comforting nervous pets, cleaning up messes, answering questions, and somehow finding a way to love on every animal that walks through the door.
But they’re also so much more than a list of duties.
Vet techs are advocates, problem-solvers, teachers, teammates, comfort-givers, and often the familiar face beside a family during some of their happiest — and hardest — moments.
This week, we’re celebrating the incredible people behind the scrubs who keep veterinary medicine moving every single day.
To our amazing team: thank you for the compassion, skill, patience, humor, heart, and hard work you bring to Saxony Animal Clinic. We truly couldn’t do what we do without you. 🐶🐱❤️
Happy Vet Tech Week! 🩺🐾
