Through the hustle and bustle of our trial and then getting ready for Valentine I never took the time to brag on Lily. Lily went into our trial needing just 1 point to finish her Amateur Field Championship!! She walked away not winning just 1 but both Amateur stakes that weekend! She went above and beyond to secure her new title! So now she is FC/ AFC Sandhills Lily!!

What a weekend these 2 brothers had!!

Buddy with the Region 19 AAA Championship win! And Sparky capped it off winning both Gundog stakes in Thayer Iowa!

2 brothers, 3 blue ribbons, 1 weekend!!!

Thank you to the judges this weekend!
Not only did Sparky win a 36 dog Open Gun Dog stake for a 5 point major (to finish his FC), but then he won the Amateur Gun Dog stake for a 3 point major and now just needs a single point for his AFC.

A huge thank you to Robbie and Jeff Hoskins for this dog! They wanted us to look at, and consider, this almost 4 month old roan puppy and I said NO!!!! Joe said, let’s be nice and just go meet the puppy, then you can tell them “no, thank you”. Well, I loved him from the moment I met him!

✅ bucket list item - this is the first dog we’ve handled, conditioned and trained ourselves (other than the one summer camp with Bob).
Normally I’m very happy to leave all the training and handling to Bob, but Sparky is my buddy and we’ve had lots of fun learning together.

“Sparky” is Dual pointed with 6 points, including a major, in the show ring.

I have a big post about the weekend coming, but wanted to make our proud owner/handler announcement!

Back to back to back!!!

Buddy was named Champion of the Region 19 AAA Championship today. His mother won it last year, Truman 2 years ago!! 3 years 3 different dogs!! We have been blessed to have these talented dogs in our kennel! Lily did a nice job as well and took 4th. The Harms ranch is such a wonderful place to run dogs and our dogs obviously enjoy it as well!!

Photo dump from the 3 day weekend!! Dogs did well and birds were plentiful. Sunday morning in the 2 braces of broke dogs we had 11 contacts across 7 dogs!! Other mornings were good Sunday was just great!!!!
