UPDATE! The owner saw my post on Next Door and Spot is now REUNITED with her family! YAY! 😍

Found this is lost dog on my morning walk today. She does not have a microchip and I’ve just dropped her off at San Jose Animal Care Center. They are at capacity - does anyone have room to keep her for a bit while we wait to see if she his a family that’s looking for her? They will provide food and bedding. She’s very sweet and friendly. I feel so bad leaving her but I can’t keep her with my dog and cat in my small space.

Post holiday YBFF dinner at La Fondue! This was our first REALLY BUSY holiday season since the pandemic and we are so happy clients are traveling again. Thank you to all of our clients who have continued to support us - we are close to celebrating 14 years in business and we are so grateful you continue to choose us to care for your fur babies. 🐾 We love them like our own. Co-regulation is a key part of healing trauma.

And the reality is some people just don’t feel safe with humans. They’re more guarded. Their body remembers and shut down. Or, goes into fight or flight.

Pets offer co-regulation with complete trust. They are masters at just being. I’m a big believer of a future where pets will be a part of all trauma healing.

Find small times in your day to just lay with or cuddle your pet. Watch them sleep comfortably. It will send cues of safety to your body.
