This one goes out to all of you! 🫵🏻

This past week seemed to last an eternity. The overwhelming stress of managing business while recovering, I couldn’t have done it without the help of many. Shoutout to my wife, Dawn, who handled everything to keep not only our barn but our life moving. I Love You.

To those who helped in the barn, jogged horses, sent encouraging words and well wishes, got the horses raced, and the endless offers to help in various ways, THIS win is for you!

Thank you to everyone who assisted and reached out during this time.

Today, Irvin was involved in a training accident and was transported to Saratoga Hospital. X-rays and cat scan came back clean but he is extremely sore especially in his wrist, neck and his face, which took most of the blow.

Horse involved walked away on his own with scrapes/road rash.

Thankfully both avoided any serious injuries but will be sore for a while. 🖤🧡

Have you ever taken a close look at the drivers helmets? 🐎

Many have the intricate line details, stars, horseshoes, their name or initials, but the back of Irvin’s helmet there is something more. A photo of his late grandfather, Bruce Crews. 💔

With the 12th anniversary of his passing on a race day, with family in town, wouldn’t it be great to pay homage to his grandfather with a win?

Sitting behind #6 Seafood CC in the 11th race for trainer Bruce Mattison, Irvin got away 3rd in the race. Going up the backside for the second time, Irvin couldn’t wait anymore. Making a big brush to the leader and battling through the final turn, you could hear the roars of encouragement from his family. Down to the wire, battling head to head, Irvin wins the race! 🥹🤯

In the mix of all the joy, cheering and excitement, you can see the tears start to form. The pride beaming from Irvin’s father as his son enters the winner’s circle. The bittersweet emotions. Turning a somber day in his life into a day the family will never forget. 🖤🧡
