As stewards of the Golden Retriever breed, we often think about responsibility in more ways than just raising our own dogs well.
Sometimes that responsibility extends beyond our dogs, into moments we don’t plan for, but feel deeply honored to be part of.
Through what we do, we’re connected to a wider community of people who share a love for Goldens. Families searching for their next companion, people following our dogs from afar, and others who have found themselves in unexpected or difficult situations with a dog they once thought would be theirs forever.
Recently, we were able to help not one, but two Golden girls find their way into new homes in completely different situations. Places where they are safe, and can settle into being part of someone’s life once again.
These situations are never simple. There’s always emotion on every side. But there is something grounding about seeing a dog land softly, back into care, back into routine, back into being loved for exactly who she is.
We’re grateful for the community around us that makes moments like this possible, and for the trust it takes to let us help when things don’t go as planned.
Pictured here is Jazzy, one of the two girls. If you inquired about one of these dogs I’m sorry if you didn’t get the call this time, please stay in touch because we never know when a dog might need a home.
