September is here — and so is shedding season. 🍂

If your dog or cat seems to be leaving fur everywhere right now, you're not imagining it. Seasonal coat changes are completely normal as pets transition from their summer coat to a thicker winter one.

But here's what IS worth paying attention to:

🔴 Bald patches or uneven thinning
🔴 Skin that looks red, flaky, or irritated underneath
🔴 Excessive shedding that doesn't slow down after a few weeks
🔴 Your pet scratching or biting at the same spot repeatedly

Those signs can point to something beyond normal shedding — like a hormonal imbalance, ringworm, or an underlying skin condition that's worth catching early.

Tip: Regular brushing during the transition helps reduce shedding AND gives you a chance to check the skin underneath. It's one of the easiest things you can do at home.

🌟 The Social Butterfly — greets every staff member, tail never stops, probably tries to follow us into the back
😤 The Skeptic — side-eyes everything, tolerates the exam, makes it very clear they have opinions
🫣 The Hider — somehow disappears inside a carrier that's clearly too small for them
🎭 The Drama Queen — you'd think we were performing surgery based on the reaction to a temperature check
😴 The Chill One — unbothered by everything, could nap through anything
🐾 The Velcro Pet — will not leave their owner's lap under any circumstances
