Doggo Den is a Subscription based pet grooming salon, maintaining Your pets needs on a regular basis. We are Your pets VOICE! On average, most pet owners don’t CLEAN or MAINTAIN their fur-babies as often as necessary. This can be detected by a few key physical changes, including: an overgrowth of the nails and coat creating tangles and matting, plaque ridden teeth, and poor skin health. According

to the AKC (American Kennel Club) breed standard, most pets should be maintained every 4 to 6 weeks. We know that one size doesn’t fit all and that’s why we offer Subscription Based pet grooming and customization. Here at Doggo Den we wanted to bring back the more traditional mom-and-pop way of business; where community, compassion and family are at the heart of the establishment. This allows for a more personal experience, building trust and respect with both our fur and human clients. We strive to make Doggo Den not only memorable, but their home away from home. When in our care, we ensure the safety of your pets at all times while providing professional, quality services per your pet’s individual needs. Aroma therapy, warm towel wraps, HV drying, blow-outs, and facials are just a few of the additional pampering and anxiety-reducing spa services we provide for your loved one! This isn’t your ordinary grooming shop! To make your pet feel even more at home, we place them in their own pet suite after their grooming experience. Each suite includes their own bed, water and toys while they wait for pick-up. We want your pet to feel loved from the moment you hand us their leash to the moment they’re back in your arms. New World Screwworm: Essential Information for Pet Owners

The New World screwworm is not actually a worm but the larval stage of a fly that feeds on living tissue. This behavior makes it a significant medical concern for animals with any type of wound.

Female flies may deposit 200–300 eggs along the edges of even very small injuries. These eggs hatch within 12 hours, and the larvae begin to move into healthy tissue, which can delay healing and increase the risk of secondary infection.

How dogs may become affected:

Open wounds or scratches

Tick bites

Hot spots

Surgical incisions

Skin folds, or areas around the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, or ge****ls

Young animals and seniors may be more susceptible, and because screwworm flies resemble common houseflies, early detection can be challenging.

Human cases are uncommon, largely due to consistent hygiene and wound care practices.

Key point for pet owners:
Any wound on a dog should be kept clean, protected, and monitored for changes. If a wound appears to worsen, develops an odor, or shows delayed healing, veterinary evaluation is recommended.
