Great advice! Cockers can come across as very hungry dogs. 😋 I recently noticed that 🪵 Woody seems a little thick and 🫐 Juni seems a little thin. We’ve weighed them and adjusted their portions accordingly.

🏵️ Obedience HIGH IN TRIAL– Non-OTCH Handler Award for 🥮 Filo and I today at DTCSP AKC trials today.

Filo is such a happy, enthusiastic partner, and he makes everything we do together so much fun. I’ve been practising consistently and working to become a better handler for him. He makes me want to keep learning and improving.

This is a really special honor. There are always so many incredibly talented handlers at this event, and to have our name called for this award is something I’m very proud of.

Grateful for the wonderful people who have helped and encouraged us along the way, the Dog Training Club of St Petersburg, our judge Walter O'Brien, our friends and neighbors in the crating area, and everyone who makes these events so special. ❤️

Very proud of my little guy today. 🥮💙

Summers in Florida can be HOT! 🥵 So we've been going to the pool at Dogs of Anarchy K9 Fitness every week for fun and exercise. The cockers are really enjoying it and getting to be stronger swimmers each week. 🐬

This post from Girl With The Dogs does such a great job explaining the difference between breeding responsibly and simply producing puppies.

As a breeder, I believe strongly in health testing, thoughtful pairings, sound structure, stable temperaments and taking lifelong responsibility for the dogs we produce. And as someone who loves dogs, I also care deeply about the animals who need homes and the problems created by irresponsible breeding.

I don’t believe the answer is no breeding. I believe the answer is better breeding, better education and more responsible ownership.

☀️ Sunshine, 🥮 Filo, and 🦘Sheila all went on a little road trip today to visit Eye Care for Animals in are prone to a number of inherited eye conditions, so annual testing helps us stay ahead of problems and collect valuable health info for the future of the breed. 👀 💙 🧡
