Pawsh Dog Salon is coming to SALEM, UT. Opens JANAURY 2026. For those groomers out there looking for the best job in south Utah County. This is it.

We are a team of fun, family oriented, pet passionate people and we are looking for similar people to join our team.

If you can Groom 5-7 dogs in a shift, and you love working with other low drama people, this is the job for you!

This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment focused on providing top-quality grooming services and pet care. Candidates with experience in veterinary settings, dog handling, or pet grooming are highly encouraged to apply. A strong commitment to animal safety and customer service is essential.

Duties
Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing of dogs according to client specifications

Handle dogs safely and humanely during grooming procedures, utilizing animal restraint techniques as needed
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work area

Ensure the well-being of animals during grooming sessions by monitoring their behavior and health status
Skills

Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant
Be able to groom 5-7 dogs in a shift.

Knowledge of dog grooming techniques

Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs safely during grooming and restraint procedures

Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs)

Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet care best practices

Compassionate attitude toward animals with patience for handling various temperaments

Reliable.

Our final work space has been completely erased. It has been great serving this community and making lots of friends. I am grateful for people trusting me to work with their animals. This opportunity has sustained our family through deployment, my college years, COVID, a 26-week birth, a job loss, a surprise baby, and a PCS. I could not be more humbled by the kindness I encountered all along the way. Thank you. ♥️

REFERRALS & RECOMMENDATIONS

We are officially closing this month for our big move. We have appointments we are fulfilling in the next 14 days, but we don’t foresee having any additional openings due to the labor of packing and moving.

We do have a few recommended groomers and we suggest booking your next appointment right away because a lot of others will be doing the same.

Nephi: Charley is now the owner of K-9 Cuts. Charley began training here in summer of 2022. She has become an excellent groomer that embodies both punctuality and perfection. She is now working from her home salon in Nephi. Many of your pets know her. Everyone that knows Charley loves her. We certainly do! She is very reliable and will maintain your recurring appointments. She is a poodle and yorkie expert!

Santaquin: Melissa & Mychael joined our team to help with the transition in these last few months.
Melissa completed grooming school and worked at Petco for 10 months before preparing her home salon in Santaquin. Her work is beautiful and we anticipate she will have a calm space for your little pets. She will be great for many doodles, cotons, shih tzus, and schnauzers in the area.
Mychael is one of Summit Ridge’s own.
She will continue to apprentice and assist under Melissa. She has met many of you or your pets as well! She is a large breed lover but also super gentle with little pups.
They will have limited hours for the time being to meet the needs of their children, so make sure you always book in advance to keep an appointment with them.

Springville & Draper: This is where you will find the most seasoned groomers for large grooms or if you need high end services. Ashlee, the owner of Cali Dream Grooming, currently grooms and has welcomed many top students into her fold. She has agreed to take a couple of our cat clients, too.
My sister, Aubrie, works here and I can’t say enough about her love for animals! She will be a great choice for anyone that can get on her schedule. She can handle any breed but holds a place in her heart for every mutt you adopt too. Bring her your German Shepherds and your cocker spaniels. 🤍
Lastly, we have our beloved Silvi. Silvi also completed grooming school and has been with us since May. We are thrilled for her to join this team of rockstars where she belongs. She is still perfecting her techniques under expert groomers, but she has a passion for this work. She has agreed to work Saturdays to help our adored Saturday clients keep up their pup pampering! She wants to see your huskies, aussies, poms, shelties and the rest. These spots will go quickly so be sure to set an appointment right away.

All of our recommended teams will be using our same software. Ask them if they are able to match my price for your first appointment. They likely will be able to do it. Afterward, they will let you know if there will be any price adjustment for the 2nd appointment.

When I started grooming pets, I collected only payment enough to keep the lights on for another day. I was determined to gain the experience necessary to be a resource to my community. Thankfully, I received support that far exceeded my expectations. In return, I have helped to create good routines for many beautiful pets. Years later, I am still grooming many of those first 100 dogs that built my career. I am greatly humbled by my dear friends & neighbors that have stuck with me, even through some bumps in the road. This means more to me than you will ever know.
