📚🐱 Caturday ABCs: A is for Aardvark!

This Caturday, we’re learning our letters, and A is for Aardvark! 🌼

Aardvark is a shy but curious boy who just needs a little time to come out of his shell. He’s looking for a cat-savvy human who understands that the best things are worth waiting for. Give this sweet guy time to bloom, and you’ll discover a kitty who loves playtime, enrichment, tasty treats, and gentle pets on his soft little noggin. 🥹

Think Aardvark could be your soul-cat? Come meet him at our Santa Rosa location or call (707) 542-0882 to speak with an adoptions counselor and learn more about him!

🍈 Meet Melon Baby! This short-statured Frenchie mix has a whole lot of fun packed into one little body!

This fun-sized guy is looking for an active, dog-loving human who can keep up with his energy and provide plenty of adventures, enrichment, and cheese walks.
What’s a cheese walk, you ask? You walk him, give him cheese, and tell him he’s cute.🧀

He may not take up much vertical space, but he’s ready to take up a whole lot of room in your life! Think Melon Baby could be your perfect sidekick? Come meet him at our Santa Rosa location or call (707) 542-0882

🐾 It’s DAF Day! 🐾

You have the power to make a difference for animals like 18-year-old Rita. ❤️

When animals come to us needing extra time, medical care, or a little more support, your generosity helps make sure they get it. A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is one way you can put your charitable dollars to work for animals who need us most.

Rita is just one example of why that support matters. At 18 years old, she deserves comfort, compassionate care, and the chance to spend her golden years surrounded by kindness. Your DAF gift can help animals like Rita get the care they need, whether that means medical treatment, behavioral support, or access to affordable veterinary services in our community.

This DAF Day, put your DAF to work for animals. 🐶🐱

Through our partnership with FreeWill, it’s easy to recommend a one-time gift from your donor-advised fund to the Humane Society of Sonoma County.

Every gift helps us continue providing dedicated care to pets and supporting the people who love them.

👉 Give for animals like Rita: https://tinyurl.com/DAFdayHSSC
We recommend making your DAF gift by December 11 to help ensure it is processed before the end of the year.

Meet Twister!

This handsome gray tabby came from a home with lots of cats, so he’s very comfortable around his feline friends. And while he’s a little shy, he’s quickly discovering that human friends can be pretty fun, too!

Twister would be happy to find a home of his own, or he could bring along one of his kitty friends for their next big adventure. 🐱

Think Twister might be your guy? He’s currently hanging out with some of his roomies in Kitty City at our Healdsburg location.

Come meet him or call 707-431-3386 to learn more and speak with one of our adoption counselors.

That’s not a coyote… that’s Willow! 🐺💕

Willow is a gorgeous 1-year-old, 50-pound shepherd mix with a quiet, reserved personality at first. But don’t let that fool you! Once she’s comfortable, this girl is goofy, smart, and affectionate!

She’s looking for a home where she can take her time decompressing from shelter life and have plenty of fun activities to keep her adolescent brain happy and engaged.

And Willow has already gotten a taste of the good life! During a recent slumber party foster stay, she happily romped around with the other dog in the home before settling in for the evening’s activities: cozying up with her new friend and watching Finding Nemo. 🐠🎬

10/10 cuteness. 10/10 sleepover guest. 100/10 ready to meet you!

Come meet Willow at our Santa Rosa Shelter! 🐾
