Our team of professional trainers is here to help. We have years of experience to help you fix common problems, including behavior modification for the toughest issues. The most important question we are asked is about our methods. It is also one of the most complex and misunderstood components of dog training. There are a lot of trainers who have not evolved, and continue to use the most archaic

methods of dog training. There are others who have hyper-evolved, and believe that just using treats will provide the results you seek. Aversive training and “pure” positive treat based approaches tend to only last as long as the aversive or the food reward are available – we prefer you live the “dog life”, which doesn’t mean managing your dog all the time, it means creating a thinking dog! Our **net-POSITIVE** system is proven, effective and is based in true science, psychology, and a common sense approach to building a relationship that lasts. We are not an advocate for using e-collars for training obedience. We prefer to teach our dog owners how to build a good relationship based on trust and respect. Our training will not be based on using food to illicit behaviors, although we will use some food rewards to build a relationship with your dog. A dog that only works for a treat quickly learns that it only has to listen when treats are being given. We do not believe a relationship is forced or bribed into existence. Interrupting your dog's inherent drives followed by proper praise yields the best results. Teaching proper interruption, and proper praise is part of the process. We call this **net-POSITIVE** training because we focus on the positive. It is when these drives outweigh their intellect, causing them to be impulsive, they appear to be bad dogs. Teaching a dog to control its impulse to chase, jump, hunt, or react negatively is what we do. You cannot forget the drives, because they still exist. We teach you how to satisfy those drives, as well. In short, we teach you how to become a good leader! One key point to remember is that dogs are not human. Too many failures come when the pressure to "be human" is put on a dog. When you understand that dogs do not have nearly the neurons in the brain that humans have, and they have drives that control them, you can get to the core of the problems your dog is having much more effectively.

Such a neat story. This is how we partnered with wolves and eventually domesticated dogs. Food is a powerful tool for making friends, creating structure, showing leadership.

Walking with your food bowl with your dog in tow for 20-30 seconds before presenting it to your dog is a powerful way to get your dog to "follow" you, to shape a behavior of being next to you - it starts the communication of leadership through CARE. We use this for following, heeling, even imprinting recall and impulse control.

Enjoy feeding times, and think less of how they are a chore and more of how they build a relationship that sets you up for success with your puppy or dog. Think STRUCTURE.

Enjoy those moments in time where you are developing a strategy of providing sustenance with purpose. It's primal. It's perfect. It's absolutely natural. When your dog KNOWS you will provide to them what they need, they see you in a whole new way. It starts with the most basic need for food.

Who would you trust to train your Service Dog? How about your CHILD'S Service Dog?

Choose experience. Here's why:

The dog must do its job when you aren't present. Your child and their dog must be a reliable team.

The dog must be under complete control of the handler. Even a non or lesser communicative child must be taught alternative communication methods with their dog.

The dog must be properly selected. The personalities must mesh. Your child with sensory issues must be considered in the process. Your child must be comfortable with their working partner and a proper relationship of trust must be built.

We've been training Service Dogs for over a decade. We have successfully placed dogs all over North America for different disciplines. Here's the thing... we don't often work with younger children because, as you can imagine, it is a big, big task.

Tanner selected the perfect dog, built a relationship of trust with this child and his parents. This is the result of lots of hard work, dedication to the child's well-being and to the dog! They still have work to do, but what a difference this dog is already making in this child's life!

Hats off to Tanner and the team for this amazing placement. It warms my heart and gets me in the feels to see this come across my texts today. I'm excited, not only for Tanner and our team, but for this child to experience freedom in his own way.
