Atlas, a two-year-old husky mix, has spent his whole life locked up in a shelter, since he arrived as a puppy of only eight weeks. A viral video shared by a volunteer from the Valley Center in California shows the animal’s sadness as he watches other dogs get adopted while he and his sister Honey are still waiting. Atlas grew up behind bars and knows the world only through barking and concrete, but his caregivers say that he is incredibly friendly and full of energy. Despite being vaccinated, neutered, and ready to go home, he continues to be ignored, waiting for someone to look beyond the door of his kennel and give him a real chance.
