I just wanted to share a glimpse to our lives. I got to married my favorite person on Sunday, May 31, which coincidentally happened to be a blue moon. Such a great weekend, I got to see my closest friends, and I don’t drink, but went the Rosewood Miramar Hotel on Saturday for drinks and just the scene Saturday afternoon before the wedding, so beautiful. I have known for quite a while that I never wanted to part from Elena. I heard once the following quote, and I never forgot it: “If you ever want to know how you feel about someone, try saying goodbye.” I knew I never wanted to say goodbye, and I’m so glad I won’t have to. My life has blown up in every way since being with Elena, my heart has opened, I’m a more balanced and loving person, and pretty much every other measurement of my life has improved. Elena, I love you, and I can only imagine how many more parts and chapters this book will have, but I fully intend to keep my commitment to living out the rest of our lives together, and having quite the memories at the end of it. 7 years ago I was basically having a midlife crisis, alone, and not at all where I wanted to be in so many areas of my life. I can honestly say I gave, and continue to give, my absolute best toward a dream life, with no understanding of how it would come to be, and I opened my heart to God, and God has slowly and serendipitously sent the right people, events, and things into my life. We truly want to be a couple that emanates light out into the world and does good work, with egos aside and God at the steering wheel. On an additional note, Elena ended up being sick to her stomach during and following the ceremony, which turned out to be appendicitis and resulted in her going to the hospital that same night and having surgery early the next morning. I’m just grateful we live in a day and age where it’s a 30 minute surgery, and not a death sentence. A very memorable wedding. I truly appreciate all of the love and support, it means so much to us. Sending our love always 💪❤️🌎🫂📈👼

I just wanted to share some information about what has helped me so much. I used to see happy people able to be present and enjoy life and relationships, and I would just think to myself that that wasn’t for me and honestly wonder how anyone couls enjoy that. Like I was trapped in a mental prison where that was just off-limits to me. Happy lives were for other people, not for myself. I distinctly remember having a dream in about 2017 that was one of the most intense dreams I’ve ever had where I felt like I was electrocuted, and I woke up with a strong message that I keep trying to be bigger and stronger and push out and aim up, but the life I really wanted, the pathway to it was at the very bottom of the lake, through a tunnel at the bottom of the deepest darkest part. Something like that. That was very scary to me. The next 5–7 years I spent trying to face all the darkness I had within myself and face everything that I never had. I see so many people doing that these days online, and taking that spiritual journey, and it’s inspiring to me. David Goggins, Wim Hoff, were some of the first and most intense pioneers among others. It’s a very scary place and you can almost pass away and all that’s left is the core of you, and letting a big chunk of who you thought you were die is very scary because you feel like it’s you that is dying. I truly feel God walks with you and those moments, and the version of you that comes out is the version that you were looking for the entire time. And now you can be one of those happy people. I think there’s real life changes you need to make as well, but those become clear once you start on that journey. I just wanted to share my experience. Sending my love always, and I’m going to try to be one of those people who helps others out and never forgets about the darkness, and I want to have that be a part of my experience in life forever so I stay grounded always. Much love always.💪🌟🌎

Around 2011 I basically started off on my own mission to find all the answers I had been looking for. The biggest pet I had of my life was at least temporarily losing my friends and family, and my community. The answer I have been getting over and over for years now is that it’s time to come back, and the answers aren’t out alone in the cold wilderness for me anymore, they are back with the community. That’s what life‘s about – community and love, among other things. But that’s my lesson I keep hearing over and over. I hope to make a bigger mission of it by combine a community with the dogs. Just wanted to share. Much love always.💔❤️‍🩹❤️‍🔥❤️💪🌟🌎

Rocky was one of Layla’s absolute best friends. Every Tuesday and Thursday he would go back to the van to spend the entire hike hanging out with her while she slept. He comforted her in her older age until she passed away. He went back Tuesday and Thursday one week to see her, and when she wasn’t there, he came on every hike. Sometimes I wonder if his brief mission was fulfilled. We love you buddy. You are a very special dog, one of a kind, and you will not be forgotten. I hope you and Layla are having fun and tell her I love her too ❤️
