Halloween photo shoot day was so much fun, there were lots of tails wagging and happy faces all around, and we had the best time too. We wanted to give the dogs at the shelter a special day to show them how loved they are and help provide them with the enrichment they need to reduce anxiety and stress while they are waiting to be adopted.

If you would like to make donation, learn more about us and our mission please visit www.smasf.org We are an all volunteer run nonprofit and it is only thanks to the generous support from our community that we are able step in and help the animals at the shelter.

Pine-Sol is ready to find his forever home🐶 Pine-Sol has the cutest happy-go-lucky personality, loves belly rubs, salmon treats and curling up beside you. He would love to join you on walks and adventures, or stay in and chill. When he arrived at the shelter the vet determined that he had a pr*****ed urethra which required surgery to repair. We stepped in and covered the cost his surgery at Sevilla Animal Hospital. The surgery was $2,800 and we are happy that thanks to donations we had the funds available to help this sweet boy. Pine-Sol is now doing so great and he cannot wait to find his forever home.

If you are interested in adopting Pine-Sol please visit the Santa Monica animal shelter📍1640 9th St, Santa Monica 90404. (310)458-8595. Open Tues-Sat from 8am-5pm (closed 12-1pm for lunch).

Pine-Sol shelter ID A069207 is a neutered male, tan Chihuahua mix. The shelter staff think he is about 2 years old. He has been at the shelter since July 31st, 2026.

We are an all volunteer run nonprofit and it is only thanks to your generosity that we are able to step in and help Pine-Sol and the animals at the shelter. There are many animals that need extra veterinary care and we regularly purchase food, prescriptions, toys, beds and so many needed supplies. Update: 9.5.26 Escuela has been adopted

Meet puppy Escuela🐶❤️It’s time to find this sweet girl her forever home. Escuela arrived at the shelter with an unknown injury to her left rear leg. The shelter staff took her to their vet who determined that she had a fracture, requiring immediate surgery at Sevilla Animal Hospital. The surgery was $3,900 and thanks to donations we covered the cost of her surgery. We were very happy to be able to step in and help.

Escuela has not let her injury hold her back! She is a bundle of joy, wagging her tail, giving kisses and showing off what a cutie-pie she is. Now it is time to find her a loving forever home where she can continue to heal with lots of tlc and cuddles.

If you are interested in adopting Escuela please visit the Santa Monica animal shelter📍1640 9th St, Santa Monica 90404. (310)458-8595. Open Tues-Sat from 8am-5pm (closed 12-1pm for lunch).

We are an all volunteer run nonprofit and it is only thanks to your generosity that we were able to step in and cover the cost of Escuela’s surgery. There are other animals at the shelter who are in need of advanced veterinary care and we will also be covering their surgeries. In addition, we regularly purchase food, prescriptions, toys, beds and many needed supplies. If you would like to make a donation and help please visit the donate link in bio or go to www.smasf.org
