I felt really honored when the City of La Porte asked me to help, when all else failed.
I got a call from Officer Laird who was seeing if I'd be willing to groom this newly surrendered goldendoodle.
With no hesitation I gave an "absolutely!" for my answer and was picked up and personally shofered by Kathrine back to the city's facility.
Not only was I feeling appreciated for my skills, I felt privileged seeing the task as a special opportunity. The very reason I started doing this kinda work when I was a little girl was presenting itself to me with true clearity. I just wanted to help animals...
Knowing I was bringing Swiper the much needed relief; from physical misery on the outside and getting a new loving family was my driving force. The physiological wellbeing of everything big and small, creature or human has always been my prayer.
The real prize is ultimately shared between me, this adorable doodle, the La Porte Shelter and its citizens is that I was able to assist in getting this deserving dog a new life with people who will treasure him for the rest of his life!
I thank the La Porte Animal Shelter and its staff for entrusting me.
I am a long experienced groomer who has over three decades in the grooming industry, and in all things aimed to be beyond compare.
I can honestly say this has been one of the most fulfilling experiences I've encountered in my career! I extend my helping hand to the shelter and any that need me if the time evers arises.
The chance to pawsibly help those in need in the future is my reason for living!
