PLEASE JOIN US TOMORROW FROM 11AM - 1PM IF YOU CAN!

We will be trying to clear the trotting track of these pesky rocks. We need people to pick them up (either by hand or with a rake or other creative method) and put them in the buckets. That's it. No bucket carrying.

Calling all members: come out and help the trotting track! You let us know the trotting track needed help, and we heard you. Sunday will be the first phase of rehabbing the trotting track: remove the rocks. After some rain, we will move to phases 2 & 3: evening out the deep vs shallow places on the track and perhaps add some sand.

When: This Sunday, October 25, 11am-1pm

Bring: Metal rake, gloves, dust pan if you have them (the club does have extra rakes)

What: Rake rocks from two specific sections of the trotting track and place in buckets. No need to lift buckets.

Hey ho, so you know, our 80th birthday is this year!

Lots of fun things are in the works, but for now Lorraine is looking to update the bulletin board by the arena. The theme is horses and their riders. She is asking for photos of you and your horse. Can you please email ([email protected]) her your photo with a description or narrative?

OK all you gaited horse people! Here's a fun event coming up, hosted by our friends at Santa Clara County Horsemen's Assn:

GAITED HORSESHOW ++ October 16-18

Registration closes 10/15
You can Register here: https://horsemens.org/event-6404281. All the information is listed on the website. You can come to each event 'a la cart' optionally...... This will be a super fun weekend of camping, club dinner, game night, poker fun, potluck, line dancing, live music by Wain Famous, and of course, the Gaited Horseshow......We are also allowing lead-line or kids riding for the pattern only portion of Class 3 for $10. UPDATE: Woods Cove just notified us that they are postponing the paving project til next summer.

Supporting our community and being good neighbors is part of our culture. So, when Woods Cove approached us about helping their community with cars/access while roads in their development are being paved, SCCHA said YES! There will be about 40 cars on the Showgrounds from Oct 7th – 9th. They should be tucked out of the way in the far field past the water tank.
