Mast cell tumors are the most common type of skin tumor found in dogs and the second most common skin tumor in cats.

They are usually noticed in middle age but can occur at any age. Pretzel, a sweet Pitty X, featured in this picture, was only 1 year old when she presented one.

Pulsed Red Light Therapy, applied in 3 weekly 30min sessions. melted the tumor away. No medication, injections or surgery was needed.

A new study from North Carolina State University states, older dogs who slow down physically also slow down mentally.

Two main Morbidity predictors are mobility and cognition. Sensory input, central processing and motor function is key in "Mobility"! hence Mobility and Cognition are super interconnected!

This finding is crucial in understanding that we need to help our SENIOR DOGS!

The study shows that age-related changes in a dogs gait speed are associated with cognitive performance, independent of pain source.

The study outlines, decline in speed with age was not linear. Just because your Dog is getting older they don't automatically "Slow Down" at the same rate.

As is in humans, habitual exercise and physical activity improve mental and cognitive health. Exercise enhances Brain 🧠 Health.

🛑 IT'S NOT JUST OLD AGE!!
