The second (but no less amazing) half of our exciting news is Dr. Reid, who will be joining us August 10th.

Dr. Andrea Reid earned her DVM from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her undergraduate studies at UCLA. She joins us with extensive clinical experience, having spent more than 10 years caring for pets at White's Pet Hospital, and prior to that 2 years practicing emergency medicine at the Emergency and Specialty hospital, Advanced Veterinary Specialists.

Dr. Reid is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients and fostering trusting, collaborative relationships with their owners. Her goal is to help clients feel informed, supported, and confident in the medical care their pets receive.

Dr Reid lives in Goleta with her husband and daughter, and a very silly blue merle Border Collie named Kevin, who loves absolutely everyone and everything—except for squirrels!

We have exciting news! There are two new vets joining our practice in August. Dr. Bitters will be starting on the 3rd, so we will introduce her first!

As a Santa Barbara native, Dr. Jessica Bitters is excited to return to Adobe Pet Hospital, where she previously worked as a veterinary assistant before and throughout veterinary school. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences before completing a rigorous one-year rotating internship focused on emergency medicine, critical care, surgery, and specialty medicine. Since completing her internship, she has been practicing primarily in emergency and intensive care, treating pets with a wide variety of urgent and complex medical conditions.

Although Dr. Bitters enjoyed the fast-paced environment of emergency medicine, she is thrilled to return to general practice, where she can build lasting relationships with clients to keep their pets healthy through every stage of life. Her professional interests include surgery, internal medicine, and preventative medicine.

When she is not at the hospital, Dr. Bitters enjoys spending time with her dog and guinea pig, reading, and unwinding with reality TV. She is excited to be back with the team at Adobe Pet Hospital and looks forward to getting to know you and your pets.
