Exactly. This is hard to learn in the beginning but once it sinks in you become a better groomer. I made this decision for the betterment of your dog and a few have left upset. Your groomer is your dogs best advocate.

I would like to thank everyone who has been patient with me taking time off to try and heal but unfortunately my foot cannot do it on it's own. I got a cortisone shot in my arch today to get rid of this planter fasciitis. I don't know which is worse the shot or the planter fasciitis. Ouch!!!! I will be working the next 2 days but will be off again from September 19th thru the 29th. I will be answering phone calls and texts. The doc says rest, ice, elevate and more rest. Hoping to not have to have a shot in my other foot as well. Fingers crossed. I will be getting a bather to start in the middle of October so should be ready to rock and roll this season.

PSA...planter fasciitis is no joke. I almost kicked the dr in the face when he poked the sore spot. 😬

Island Grooming will be closed from May 16th until June 9th 2025 as I finally will be getting a much needed vacation. I have very limited spots before my vacation so if your pet needs an appointment before then book it now. Please be sure to prebook your pets appointments for June as I’m already booked 2 ½ weeks out when I return.
