This one hits a little deeper for me. ❤️
Seeing Kitchi step into the reining show pen for the very first time with Kailey Hoffman and come home with the Youth Rookie Award… it’s hard to put into words how proud that makes us.
Kitchi is out of our sweet Freckles, a mare that means so much to me. This filly carries generations of our program—her mother and grandmother are still with us, and her great and great-great grandmothers lived their lives right here at XS Heart Ranch.
This is why we do what we do.
Kailey, you are doing such a beautiful job with her. Watching you two grow together and get better every day is something special.
And truly… you won’t find a prettier pair anywhere.
So proud. So grateful. And so excited for what’s ahead.

It’s been a lovely flight going to Memphis today. Smooth air and great pilots! Matt and Jordan did a great job making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed! General Aviation private flights are the best way to travel!

I just love it when a friend (Sterling Bradley) reaches out to say they saw a photo and knew the brand immediately! So happy he shared it with us. That absolutely made my day! 💙

This beauty is SparksAllAround, aka Black Betty. I sent Betty to Colorado to show with Marv & Sue Kapushin and Tara this season so she could gain valuable show experience and rack up points before I bring her home, show her myself—and then she’ll step into her future role as one of our incredible broodmares, helping put quality babies out into the world 😉.

What a fun surprise to wake up to today! Huge thanks to the talented Vince LeMaster for capturing this gorgeous image and surprising me with it. I can’t wait to see what else he gets this week of both Betty and our other girl, PrimRose (WangeeSweetVoodoo). I already know I’ll be adding a photo or two to our album!

🏆 Huge Congratulations to Brooke & “Smoothie”! 🏆

We couldn’t be prouder! Our 4-year-old Smoothie, bred and raised right here at XS Heart Ranch, and her talented rider Brooke brought home 2nd place in the Virginia-Bred Trail Class this past weekend — earning their very first paycheck! 💰👏

Watching horses we’ve raised go on to create these kinds of partnerships is what it’s all about. Seeing new owners bond with them, believe in them, and find pride in moving forward together fills our hearts to the brim. ❤️

Brooke is truly something special. We’ve known her since she was a tiny little girl hanging around the barn, playing with the baby foals — purely horse-crazy from day one! 🐴 Over the years, she’s worked tirelessly to develop her riding skills and has become an incredible equestrian across many disciplines.

We’re beyond proud that she’s partnered with several XS Heart Ranch horses, turning each one into a winner in their own right. Brooke, we’re always in your corner and can’t wait to watch all the amazing things you’ll continue to do! 🌟

We are beyond shocked and saddened to learn of Dr. John McCarroll’s passing. He was the person our horses counted on most—the calm, capable presence who always had a thoughtful plan and a gentle touch. His commitment to putting the horse first, coupled with his extraordinary skill and compassion, gave us confidence in the hardest moments and hope when we needed it most. Daily Stall Cleaner Needed – XS Heart Ranch | Sanger, Texas
Small Cutting, Ranch & Reining Horse Farm – $250/week
Daily hours can be done on your own schedule but will be split into AM and PM contract labor.
Expected hours: 2–4 total per day, 7 days a week.
Must be:
Self-motivated
Hardworking
Experienced with Horses
Responsibilities include:
Cleaning stalls daily
Feeding and watering horses occasionally
Cleaning water buckets
Barn cleaning (walls, stalls, dusting, dumping manure, and general tidying)
Handling horses safely and confidently, including broodmares with foals, yearlings, two-year-olds, and show horses
Lifting hay and grain bags (50–70 lbs)
Maintaining safety procedures at all times with horses and equipment
