I had hoped to be able to delay my fee adjustment until after inflation settled down from the Iran war but I am at least able to get everyone through summer break travel. Overnights are going to be very limited for the remainder of the year due to my spouse's deployment. One of my dogs was diagnosed this month with a very rare cancer that is affecting her heart and I am not comfortable leaving her alone overnight for more than one night at a time as stress can put her in ventricular tachycardia requiring immediate hospitalization.
The excessive cleaning fee is new. Potty accidents happen and clean up is part of the deal. This is for extreme circumstances. Litter box not scooped for several days before vacation visits start, untreated sick dog with explosive 💩 I wasn't warned about, uncrated dogs ate the couch? That sort of situation is what this is for. I make it a point not to nickel and dime clients with fees but unfortunately this one is necessary.
