Today's wild story...
Hailey realized she needed a new saddle for Queen Shanaynay about 6-8 weeks ago when we absolutely weren't in any position to get a new one but she really needed it so the search was on. She found one she liked, that would fit her highness and with her other saddle on trade we managed to make it happen. The saddle arrived a couple of days before the Sept Tarheel Classic which was quite literally the day after Bryan's accident where she was DETERMINED to go show and make him proud. That show was one of her first rides in the saddle, and she has fought tooth and nail to get out of the hospital a couple of times since then (complications from her TBI) and back into the saddle. Fast forward to today....her first lesson back at Kirby Performance Horses at Redtail Ranch with Katie and Bryan and her saddle was up on a high enough rack in the trailer that some writing on the bottom shined in the light just right it caught her eye. Imagine her surprise to see it was Stacy Westfall 's personal saddle she won the 2011 Congress Freestyle in. 😳🤯😱😍 Then upon further searching discovered the saddle auction was originally posted on Hailey's 7th birthday in 2016 (IYKYK). I am absolutely speechless, but man if there was ever a day that everything felt like it was meant to be, today was that day. When I count my blessings, I truly count the amazing people in our lives who help make this all possible over and over again, y'all know who you are and we love you endlessly 🙏 ❤️😭

🎉 Happy Birthday, Kristin! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating a very special member of the W2 family.

Kristin, it feels like just yesterday you first walked into our barn, and now here you are growing into such an incredible young woman. Watching you grow over the years has been one of the greatest joys, and we are so proud of the person you are becoming. Not only have you developed into a talented rider, but you have become a kind, caring, hardworking young lady who makes everyone around her better.

You have come such a long way, and it has been amazing to watch your confidence, determination, and love for the horses grow with each passing year. Every accomplishment, every challenge you’ve overcome, and every goal you’ve reached has reminded us how lucky we are to be a part of your journey. Your work ethic and dedication never go unnoticed, and neither does the love and care you pour into everything you do.

Beyond the ribbons and accomplishments, what makes you so special is your heart. You care deeply for the horses, your friends, and everyone around you. You bring so much laughter, personality, and life to our barn. And while you may be the sassiest girl we know, that spark is one of the many things we love about you.

As you celebrate another year, we hope you know how loved and appreciated you are. We are so proud of all you have accomplished and even more excited to see what the future holds for you. We know there are amazing things ahead, and we can’t wait to continue watching you chase your dreams and become the woman you’re meant to be.

Thank you for being such an important part of our barn family. We are grateful for every memory, every laugh, and every moment we’ve gotten to share with you. No matter where life takes you, know that you will always have a family here cheering you on.

Happy Birthday, Kristin. We love you, we are proud of you, and we hope your day is every bit as wonderful as you are. ❤️🐴

⭐️ STUDENT SPOTLIGHT ⭐️

Today we want to recognize Brooklyn and just how far she has come since she first started riding with us. Watching her grow as a rider has been so rewarding, and we couldn’t be more proud of the young horsewoman she is becoming.

Brooklyn has worked incredibly hard, faced challenges with determination, and continues to show up ready to learn every time she comes to the barn. Her confidence, dedication, and love for the horses have grown so much, and it shows every time she swings a leg over a horse. The progress she has made hasn’t happened by accident—it’s a result of her hard work, positive attitude, and willingness to keep trying even when things get tough.

What makes Brooklyn special isn’t just her riding ability, but also the kindness and heart she brings to our barn family. She is always willing to help, always eager to learn, and always cheering on those around her. Those qualities will take her far both in and out of the saddle.

We are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished so far, Brooklyn, and even more excited for everything that’s still ahead of you. Keep believing in yourself, keep working hard, and keep chasing your goals. The future is bright, and we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish.

We are so lucky to have you as part of the W2 family Brooklyn 💙

As W2 Performance Horses continues to grow, we wanted to take a moment to share a few updates and reminders regarding our program.

First, we would like to thank all of our wonderful clients who support our business, respect our time, and trust us with their horses. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.

📌 Lesson Payments & Cancellations
Effective immediately, lesson payments will be due at the time of service. We kindly ask that any lesson cancellations be made at least 24 hours in advance. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice, as well as no-shows, will still be responsible for the lesson fee. Our schedule fills quickly, and reserved lesson times are often difficult to replace on short notice.

📌 Boarding & Training
At this time, we will not be accepting any new boarding or training horses. We are committed to providing the highest level of care and attention to the horses currently in our program and feel this is the best decision for both our clients and our horses. We will announce when openings become available.

We will, however, continue offering:
✅ Lessons on our horses
✅ Haul-in lessons
✅ Half leases
✅ Full leases

📌 Billing & Payments
We understand that life happens, and we are always happy to communicate with our clients. However, all clients are responsible for paying for the services they receive. The costs of feed, hay, shavings, farrier care, veterinary care, facility maintenance, and daily horse care continue regardless of whether invoices are paid. To keep our program operating and continue providing quality care for our horses, accounts must be kept current.

W2 Performance Horses has always been dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and family-oriented environment where horses and riders can thrive. We appreciate everyone’s understanding, support, and cooperation as we continue to grow and improve our program.

Thank you for being part of the W2 family. ❤️

🔥 NCQHA Tar Heel Fall Classic Recap 🔥

The NCQHA Tar Heel Fall Classic was definitely a hot one, but the girls showed up and showed out for Bryan all weekend long!

🏆 𝙃𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙮 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙢𝙨 & 𝙎𝙈 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙤 owned by David Jordan had a great show, competing in the Rookie Youth Ranch events and Youth Reining. Their hard work paid off as they brought home a Youth Reining Circuit Championship 🥇! We are so proud of this team and everything they continue to accomplish together.

🏆 𝙃𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙚 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙮 & 𝙃𝙖𝙡𝙛𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙚 did a fabulous job for owner David Jordan in the Rookie Youth Ranch events. These two had very little time to get to know each other before the show, but you would never have guessed it. They stepped into the pen and handled themselves like pros, and we’re excited to watch this partnership continue to grow.

🏆 𝙃𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙚 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙮 & 𝙇𝘾 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙋𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙮 299 owned by WW Farms Quarter Horses put together three confidence-building runs throughout the weekend. Every trip to the pen brought more confidence and experience, and we’re looking forward to seeing these two back in the show pen together next month!

We’re already counting down the days until the next show! 👻🎃

The horse community has always been about showing up for one another, and right now it’s our turn to show up for Bryan Kirby and his family.

Bryan recently suffered a serious injury in a horse-related accident and is facing a long and difficult recovery. Anyone who knows Bryan knows the kind of person he is—always willing to help, teach, encourage, and support others without hesitation. He has dedicated countless hours to helping riders achieve their goals and improving the lives of so many horses and horsemen.

Now, Bryan and Katie need the support of the community they’ve given so much to.

There is a benefit auction being organized to help support the Kirby family during this difficult time, and donations can also be made through SupportNow. Every donation, share, prayer, and word of encouragement makes a difference as they navigate the challenges ahead.

If you would like information on the benefit auction, please reach out to Elizabeth Rapier. If Bryan, Katie, or Redtail Ranch have ever made an impact on your life, please consider supporting them in any way you can.

Let’s rally around them and show them just how much they mean to our horse family. The horse world is strongest when we stand together.

Please continue to keep Bryan, Katie, and their loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. We are praying for strength, healing, and a full recovery.

Happy Birthday to the woman who makes W2 Performance Horses what it is, Briana Williams!

From all of us at W2, thank you for everything you do. Thank you for the early mornings, the late nights, the endless lessons, the pep talks, the tough love, and the unwavering support. Thank you for believing in us, even on the days we don’t believe in ourselves.

You’ve built so much more than a training program, you’ve built a family. You’ve created a place where riders can learn, grow, chase big dreams, and always know they have someone in their corner. Whether we’re celebrating a win, working through a challenge, or just trying to survive a tough ride, you’re always there pushing us to be better.

Your dedication to your horses and riders never goes unnoticed. The countless hours you spend helping us reach our goals, caring for every horse like they’re your own, and making W2 feel like home mean more than words can say.

We are so grateful to learn from you, ride with you, and be part of everything you’ve built. We hope today is filled with all the love and appreciation you deserve.

Happy Birthday, Briana! Thank you for being our trainer, our mentor, our biggest supporter, and the reason W2 feels like family. We love you!

At W2 Performance Horses, we believe that horsemanship is about so much more than ribbons, points, and winning. It’s about integrity, sportsmanship, kindness, and supporting one another.

Our barn is a team. We celebrate each other’s successes, encourage each other through challenges, and work together to help every rider and horse reach their goals. There is no place here for bullying, gossip, harassment, or tearing others down.

We expect our riders, families, and supporters to treat one another with respect both in and out of the barn. Everyone deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and safe in our community.

The horse world can be tough enough without adding negativity to it. We choose encouragement over criticism, teamwork over drama, and kindness over cruelty.

At the end of the day, we’re all here because we love horses. Let’s continue building each other up and creating an environment that reflects the values we want our horses to teach us- patience, respect, and trust. 💙
