**Labor Day closure**
Heads Up! Labor Day Closure

Just a friendly reminder that Animal Hospital of Sandy Springs will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

We want to take this opportunity to wish our amazing community a safe and relaxing Labor Day weekend filled with quality time spent with loved ones! Whether you're barbecuing in the backyard, enjoying a local festival, or simply unwinding at home, we hope you make the most of this long weekend.

We'll be back to serve you and your fur babies on Tuesday, September 8th at our regular hours.

In the meantime, for any urgent medical needs over the holiday weekend, please visit your nearest urgent care center or emergency room.

There has been a recently reported Rabies case in the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area. We recommend that all pets (Dogs and Cats) have an up to date Rabies vaccine, if not please call us (404-255-8522) today or visit our website https://us.vetstoria.com/booking/64cace753bfd2/?step=2 to schedule your pet today.
Also make sure you or your family do not interact with animals outside that you do not know, this includes Cats, Dogs, Raccoons, Coyotes and foxes.

🐾 Meet Nazgul — The Olympic Dog Who Stole the Show! 🥇🐶

At the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, one unexpected “athlete” made headlines and hearts melt around the world! During the women’s cross-country team sprint qualifying race in Tesero, a two-year-old Czechoslovakian wolfdog named Nazgul escaped from his nearby home and sprinted onto the course right as the competitors were crossing the finish line. 

Instead of causing chaos, Nazgul delighted spectators and commentators alike — even grabbing a spot in the official photo-finish capture and earning laughs and cheers from the crowd. The lovable pup didn’t interfere with the competition and was quickly and safely reunited with his owners, but not before forever becoming one of the most talked-about moments of the games. 

🏃‍♀️ Some athletes were surprised by their unexpectedly furry competitor — one skier joked she wasn’t sure if she was hallucinating — but most fans online agreed: Nazgul didn’t need a medal to win Olympic gold in our hearts! 🐕❤️
